Free Drawing in the Garden A free art activity for budding artists. Completed artworks can be entered into the Gallery’s Drawing In The Garden Art Competition. Age prize winners will receive a certificate and award.

Entries close 26 January and artworks will be exhibited in the Garden Tea House from 28 until 29 January.

Stories at the Gallery Japanese Heroes Tuesday 10 January, 10.30am - 11.30am Join us for traditional Japanese stories and a simple craft. Ages 6 to 12 years.

About Face: Gosford Junior Portrait Prize Budding artists between 5 and 18 are invited to submit a portrait for About Face: Gosford Junior Portrait Prize Deadline for entries Monday 2 January. Exhibition of finalists 5 January to 17 January in the Community Gallery.

H O L I DAY WORKSHOP S

Create a mystical Harry Potter Cabin with Genie Casis Build your own magical place from a mix of clay and twigs to start an adventure into a world of your own. In this 3 day workshop, students will learn different techniques of working with clay to build and decorate their house.

The workshop will run twice: students should book into either the morning or afternoon session.

Tuesday 10 January, Wednesday 11 January, Thursday 12 January 10:30am - 12:30pm or 1.30pm - 3.30pm 3 day workshop. $80 (including materials).

Ages: 6-15 Printing: Koi Fish with Sandra McArthur Starting with drawing the koi fish in the beautiful Japanese gardens, students will learn how to transfer the design and then print using Foam

Scratch Board.

Monday 16 January 10.30 - 12.30pm. $25 (including materials).

Ages: 6-15 Crazy Collage Animals with Sandra McArthur Using newspaper and coloured paper, students will create crazy animals, inspired by some great artists of the past. Monday 16 January 1.30pm - 3.30pm. $25 (including materials) Ages: 6-15 Pokémon Drawing Workshops with Belinda Lindhardt Draw your favourite Pokémon in these fun drawing classes. Children can use their imagination and draw Pokémon in a special setting. Tuesday 17 January and Wednesday 18 January, 10:30am - 12:30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm $25 (including materials) Ages: 6-15

Silk Mandalas with Vanja Zetovic Students will paint on silk to develop their own “Mandala” or geometric pattern inspired by traditional designs. Thursday 19 January 10.30pm - 12.30pm. $25 (including materials).

Ages: 6-15 Russian Dolls with Vanja Zetovic Students will paint a series of 5 Russian dolls and learn about the history and culture of this Russian tradition.

Thursday 19 January 1.30pm - 3.30pm. $25 (including materials).

Ages: 6-15 Fantasy Clay Creatures with Wendy Brigden Students will make fantasy creatures, dragons or mythical beasts using artists’ quality air drying clay.

Friday 20 January 10:30am - 12:30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm. $25 (including materials).

Ages: 6-15

CONDI TI ONS OF E NROLM ENT The minimum class size is five students. Classes will be cancelled if there are insufficient students.

Should cancellation be necessary, you will be notified by phone as early as possible prior to class commencement and a refund will be issued. Gosford Regional Gallery reserves the right to change tutors, class times, venue and structure, or to reduce the length of the class if there are insufficient numbers.

Unruly behaviour by children in classes is unacceptable. Gosford Regional Gallery reserves the right to refuse enrolment should such circumstances arise. Refunds are not possible if less than 48 hours cancellation notice is given.
