Our Point Clare Community Celebrates Improved Hub The Point Clare community has celebrated the opening of its new and improved community hall. Originally built in 1913, Gosford City Council has recently completed an extensive upgrade to this historic building. The multi-purpose facility now offers: • • • • • • •

Disabled parking, access ramps and paths; Reconfiguration of the front entrance, kitchen and office space; New LED lighting throughout the facility; Additional amenities; Landscaping to the surrounding grounds; Rear carpark lighting; and New roofing, floor coverings and fresh paint.

Public Notices Public Exhibition of the Draft Delivery Program 2013/14 2016/17 and Draft Operational Plan 2016/17 In accordance with Section 405 of the Local Government Act (1993), notice is hereby given that Gosford City Council’s Draft Delivery Program 2013/14 – 2016/17 and Draft Operational Plan 2016/17 (including the Draft Capital Works Budget 2016/17 and Draft Fees and Charges 2016/17) will be placed on exhibition until Wednesday 25 May 2016 at the following locations: - Council’s Administration Building, 49 Mann Street, Gosford; and - Some council Customer Service Centres and libraries (Gosford, Erina, Kincumber, Kariong, Umina, Woy Woy). The documents may be viewed during opening hours at these venues and are also available for viewing on the Gosford City Council website at gosford.nsw.gov.au - Items on Exhibition. Council invites written submissions and comments in relation to the draft documents. With a new layout allowing increased functionality, multiple groups are now able to use the hall simultaneously, to the benefit of the playgroups, progress associations, dancers and other local community groups that call the hall home. The upgrade is the result of extensive planning and community consultation and is a testament to the enduring spirit of the local community. Council acknowledges the work of local volunteers and the Point Clare Hall Management Committee in this redevelopment. Thanks to the NSW Government’s Local Infrastructure Renewal Scheme, council has been able to provide $250,000 in funding for this much needed renovation. Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 and Regulations Public Exhibition of Planning Proposal and Development Control Plan Amendment Notice is hereby given that a Planning Proposal regarding directional real estate signs and an amendment to Gosford Development Control Plan 2013 have been placed on exhibition at Gosford City Council’s Customer Service Centre, Administration Building, 49 Mann Street, Gosford and may be examined during the hours of 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) from 13 May 2016 to 10 June 2016.

The aim of the Planning Proposal is to permit, as exempt development, the erection of off-site signage directing potential customers to housing estate developments. The amendment to Gosford Development Control Plan 2013 relates to amending Chapter 3.7 – Advertising Signage to reflect the Planning Proposal. Any person may make submissions in writing to council with respect to the provisions of the Planning Proposal and Development Control Plan up until 5pm on 10 June 2016.

To ensure your submission is duly considered please include your name and contact details.

Following consideration of public submissions, the Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan will be formally considered and adopted by Council at a meeting on Tuesday 28 June 2016.

Any person making a submission objecting or supporting the planning proposal must disclose political donations or gifts made to any councillor or council staff member. Further details can be obtained by downloading the “Disclosure of Political Donations and Gifts” form available on council’s website gosford.nsw.gov.au. The Minister for Planning has chosen to delegate the making of the Local Environmental Plan to council.
