My main medium is acrylic paints but I also work in mixed media. My work can be representational to abstract and I paint anything from small canvases to grand-sized murals. I have been a full time artist in the Gorge for 27 years and 15 of those at my current studio, which is in my home and has a beautiful view of the Columbia River. I welcome your visit to “where the magic happens!”

I enjoy finding local wood and working with it from tree to finished product. I’m drawn to making functional pieces of art. My wood shop is an ongoing project, too — where the tools and space add to my inspiration. I mainly work with wood but other enjoyable mediums include fabric, metal, wire, clay, leather, glass, and paper. I’m an artisan and can’t help but make things!

I recently embarked on a journey into abstract painting, which i find thrilling and challenging. I continue to work on representational pieces in my studio and plein air. I enjoy playing with color and experimenting with application techniques, layering of pigment until I get the desired results. I am delighted to participate in the tour this year and enjoy sharing my passion for pastels!
