A word from the Security Manager (CONT.)

We apologise for the inconvenience when you are asked to produce your essential working permit during curfew hours and the associated measures against COVID as legislated, however, this is for the benefit of all residents, visitors, contractors and especially us as frontline workers in security. Please do ensure you, your family, friends, and contractors follow the rules to avoid unnecessary unpleasantries.

The pandemic had brought many changes in the estate with more residents working from home and many feeling the financial impact. Because of this we have a lot of families staying and working together in units and sometimes even alcohol or substance abuse play a role and this causes an increase in domestic violence. This is not contributing to harmonious estate living and sometimes children of the families or neighbours have first-hand experiences of the abuse and even

the physical damages. The second part to this is neighbours becoming irritated with each other. As security we humbly and respectfully request that you respect the dignity of your family and others and display good neighbourliness to attempt, at least, to reach living arrangements with neighbours instead of always adding financial strain on them by dispatching security to investigate a contravention which could have been resolved between each other.

In closing we would like to wish those who will be going away for weekends and the school holidays to travel safe, be vigilant for the spiking and hi-jacking which, as per SAPS statistics, is increasing, along with domestic violence. Also ensure your pets have a pet sitter and all arrangements have been made to safely lock and secure your properties.

Security’s last request is that all residents take note of the Estate rules and bylaws and follow them, Enjoy spring and the school holidays! and ensure any visitor or contractor does the same before granting access to them as contraventions will always be levied to offenders for the benefit ANONYMOUS TIP OFF of the resident who seeks peace and harmony. Pretoria East

Residents Organisation Unfortunately, we live in times where we can no longer depend on national and local government to service our suburbs in full. As community we need to stand together and drive projects from one legal, auditable entity to ensure transparency and results. By standing together we CAN and WILL make a difference. The CCF has no political affiliation, therefore, no matter which party are in office, the CCF will work with that party and Ward Councillors to reach its goals but will also keep the party in office responsible for expenses occurred with our tax money.

Vision To bring the residents of the suburb together, not only by uplifting the suburb, but also, to support each other in business, health, social welfare, by-laws, and safety. Mission By planning, strategizing, and executing projects to uplift suburbs for its property tax paying residents. Objectives To achieve our vision, we need members. To attract more members, we need to execute successful projects.

It is important to know that you, as residents of Mooikloof Ridge Estate, may report any issues outside the estate to the CCF. We then log a reference and report the issue to the relevant department or authority. Potholes | Street Lights | Illegal Dumping | Water Pollution | Noise Pollution
