BUSINESS RIGHTS No business of any kind may be conducted from any Property within the Estate, without the prior approval in writing of the Board, and then only if such business is permitted in terms of the town planning scheme applicable to the particular Property. No business activity once approved or hobby may be carried on within the Estate, which may create a nuisance for other residents, including auctions and jumble sales. All applications to conduct business from Properties within the Estate must be submitted in writing to the Board, which will deal with same at Board level. After the submission of the application to the Board, its decision on the matter will be final. 4

SECURITY Under no circumstances will any contractor be allowed to enter the Estate without a valid ID document. Access identity cards issued by other Estates are not a recognised form of identification and will not be accepted. Gardeners/Domestics/Contractors

from

other countries should have a VALID work permit.

If the work permit has expired,

access will not be granted. 6


USE OF

STREETS The streets within the Estate are for the use of all residents, whether on foot or by motor vehicle. Although motor vehicles are part of the street environment, they are not necessarily the dominating factor. The speed limit is restricted to 30 km per hour on all streets, situated within the Estate. Parents are responsible for the safety of children who play in the streets of the Estate, but motorists or cyclists must approach children in or near the street with extreme caution. 7

WHAT YOU NEED:

For the harissa dressing • ½ jar Pesto Princess Harissa Paste • 2 limes, juiced and zested • 1 Tbsp honey • ¼ cup olive oil For the roasted harissa veggies • 1 large cauliflower, broken into florets • 1 large butternut, peeled • 1 red or yellow pepper* • 1 large aubergine • 1 red onion • 3 baby marrows* • 200 g punnet rosa tomatoes For the couscous salad • 130 g couscous • 1 Tbsp olive oil • 1½ cups boiling vegetable stock • 1 cup pumpkin seeds • 1 mango, sliced in slivers • Handful of fresh rocket or watercress *For extra crunch and freshness, the sweet pepper and baby marrow can be left raw and added in thin slices to the salad just before serving.

GARDENING The first frosts can be expected. Keep covers handy to protect tender plants. Protect the roots by covering the ground around the plant with a deep mulch (7-8cm) of compost or bark. HARDY SUMMER FLOWERING ANNUALS Water about once a week if the weather is dry and feed once a month with a liquid fertiliser to keep them growing steadily. WINTER FLOWERING ANNUALS Feed twice a month with a liquid fertiliser. Remove faded flowers regularly. 10
