IMPACT & STEWARDSHIP REPORT 3

THANK YOU.

Our home mission ministries continue because supporters like you believe in the vision and value of Catholic mission. We thank God for you daily. Our work would be impossible without you!

Today, and every day, we rejoice and say prayers of thanks for you and your faith-filled commitment to the home missions. You make it possible for Glenmary missioners to be THE Catholic presence for the people in their county, sharing the goodness of God and making a difference in their lives.

You join in our mission. Thanks to your support, Glenmary is bringing people together into new Catholic faith communities; sharing God’s love with people who have no faith home; helping people with food, shelter, medicine, and daily necessities in their times of need; seeking justice for people suffering on the margins; and working toward unity among our Christian brothers and sisters.

You are the source of many blessings. You provide hope!

In the last year, you have helped Tennessee Catholics in Grainger and Smith Counties come together in community and worship in permanent Church homes. You have helped families worried about where their next meal will come from or

eviction from their home receive fresh food or transitional shelter. You have helped incarcerated youth in Georgia hear the Good News of Jesus Christ for the first time.

These are just some examples of the impact you make with your prayers and generosity. You’ll find more within the pages of this Impact and Stewardship Report. We are grateful to have you as valued members of our mission community.

Thank you for living your faith by supporting Glenmary’s ministry in Appalachia and the rural South. Thank you for giving us reason to rejoice every day!

OUR FOUNDER’S VISION

“The true missioner adopts all the people in his area, regardless of creed, for his own. His aim is to make all of them better people and bring them nearer to God. “

—Father William Howard Bishop, Glenmary Founder

Glenmary Home Missioners was founded in 1939 by Father William Howard Bishop, whose vision was for every county in the United States to have a permanent Catholic presence. Thank you for being a part of our charismatic family and sharing our passion for mission!

Did you know there are still more than 300 counties that do not have a permanent Catholic church?

When you respond to this call by supporting our missions, you become a missioner just as much as we are.

You don’t have to travel far to find a mission field. With God’s grace and your generosity, we’ve shared God’s love and the hope of our Catholic faith with thousands of Americans this year!

NEW MISSIONS AND MORE CHURCHES

In the past 4 years, we have dedicated four churches and established four new missions in rural America, thanks be to God!

Over 250 young adults served as Glenmary volunteers in rural Tennessee this year, learning what faith in action looks like.

PILLARS OF MISSION

“For Glenmary, a pillar is something firm on which we can stand while we’re doing our missionary activity.“

Glenmary is committed to establishing a permanent presence for the Catholic Church, but that’s more than a church building. We’re on mission to establish the fullness of the Catholic faith, which calls us to serve, work alongside and love all of God’s children.
