A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDERS Dear Friend, The best way to sum up 2021: joy and excitement! Our family has the honor of serving God’s people which brings us so much joy. The excitement comes from all the expansion God is doing with Giving HOPE. We opened the second location on the West Bank in partnership with Fort Knox Storage and The Family of Stephen F. Stumpf, and we plan to open two more food banks in San Diego and Hawaii. Last year, we gave away $11 million dollars worth of food. Giving HOPE started construction of the new 50,000 square foot Giving HOPE Headquarters in New Orleans. We partnered with CityServe International to serve as the CityServe Louisiana Affiliate and HUB. Through this agreement, Giving HOPE will purchase goods-in-kind (GIK) truckloads from national well-known retailers and equip local churches to bless people and build relationships with them in communities across the region. Through this partnership between CityServe, Giving HOPE, and local churches, communities will be transformed, basic needs will be met, and similar partnerships in other parts of the country have shown a dramatic reduction in crime. In 2022, we will be visiting the HOPE House in South Africa, and we are putting 100 water wells in Pakistan. The water wells will supply thousands of people with clean water who have only ever had access to dirty drinking water. The 2021 HOPE Gala was the biggest ever as Nick Vujicic, Demario Davis, Jonathan Cain and Debbie Winans-Lowe did an incredible job of inspiring people to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Women of HOPE Unite continues to empower women to find the passion that inspires them and the injustice that angers them to make a difference in a special way as their outreaches are blessing people. Tracy hosted Nick and Kanae Vujicic and had over 228,000 people join them as they helped couples understand how to have an incredible marriage even with special circumstances. Tracy hosted Leading on Purpose with Lynette Lewis where women were inspired to know their purpose and live their dreams. The December Sip and Shop Social was a success as they raised money to help foster care kids. We also announced the Giving HOPE Community Center partnership with the Good Shepherd School to put an elementary school in the 9th Ward. The Giving HOPE Retreat Center and Lynhaven Retreat are helping people rehabilitate to become who God has called them to be, as they start their new beginning. God is expanding Giving HOPE and we are so excited about everything He is doing. A calendar of Giving HOPE events for 2022 is in this report showing you all of the exciting outreach events this year. If you have any prayer needs, please visit our website at givinghopenola.org/people2pray. Scan the QR code above for a look at our new headquarters. At Giving HOPE, love changes everything. We invite you to partner with us in 2022 as we transform communities and create a cultural shift for generations to come. Join us as we make this year even better by showing love to people who desperately need it because the world we live in is changing dramatically. We love and appreciate you.

A LETTER FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Dear Friend, As we move through one of the most challenging seasons in recent history, your partnership has helped Giving HOPE advance its purpose to improve the quality of life for our neighbors by demonstrating the power of faith and love in action (Matthew 25:35-36). We are excited about the fruit our partnership produced in 2021. Because of your faithfulness, we have been able to help thousands. HOPE The Food Pantry of New Orleans distributed 5.5 million pounds of food to Greater New Orleans residents and served over 250,000 hot meals to senior citizens. This includes Jefferson Parish residents who are now served by the Stephen F. Stumpf Food Pantry in Marrero, Louisiana. Corporate HOPE Day and individual volunteers, nonprofit partners, churches, and agencies like Second Harvest and the City of New Orleans JOB 1 helped us meet the demand. The pantry also remained operational in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and was a point-ofdistribution for food and critical supplies to thousands of residents impacted by Hurricane Ida. In the Desire-Florida community our partner Thrive New Orleans, through its Thrive 9th Ward pillar, continues to make the Giving HOPE Community Center a safe space for families, youth, and people seeking to go from surviving to thriving. The CDL training program had a successful second year and we are excited to be working with Thrive and Operation Spark to elevate the center’s coding programing. And of course, Thrive 9th Ward’s portfolio of first-class mentorship, workforce, sports and recreation programming continues to be a high-level offering at the center. In 2021, we continued our commitment to serving youth through new and ongoing initiatives. Across the street, through a partnership with the Good Shepherd School, we began phase one of the Giving HOPE GSS Campus, a new elementary school that will call the Desire-Florida Community home. We continue to serve orphans in communities around the world through HOPE House and established houses in the Dominican Republic and South Africa through partnerships with Advocates of Love and Impact Africa, respectively. Women of HOPE Unite also served 21 children in 2021 and will continue to raise money to support children in our community. We announced the construction of the Giving HOPE Headquarters, a new 50,000 square foot facility in New Orleans East that will house Giving HOPE’s administrative office and become the base of operation for HOPE The Food Pantry of New Orleans. The project, one of the most significant New Orleans East developments in recent years, will also be home to CityServe Louisiana, a partnership between Giving HOPE and CityServe International. The initiative will resource local churches with goods in-kind to meet immediate needs and help churches develop holistic services that support the development of the people we serve. We accomplished so much through our partnerships. Thank you for your support and compassion. You are proof that when we work together, we keep HOPE alive.

GIVING HOPE THROUGH EDUCATION Good Shepherd School and Giving HOPE announced a second location of the Good Shepherd School in the Desire-Florida community. The school will be called the Giving HOPE Campus and will temporarily be housed in more than 24,000 square feet of modular classrooms acquired by Giving HOPE. The newly announced campus will expand the legacy of Father Harry Tompson on the 20th anniversary year of his passing. Since opening its doors in 2001, the Gentilly-based Good Shepherd Pre-K and Elementary School has carried out Fr. Tompson’s lifelong mission of helping and educating children in need.
"
We’re extremely thankful to form this new partnership with the Giving HOPE Foundation to expand the Good Shepherd School’s footprint in the New Orleans community. Since opening our doors in 2001, we have educated hundreds of students and strive every day to carry out Father Tompson’s mission of bridging the huge financial and cultural chasm between the city’s wealthiest and poorest citizens.

SUPPORTING THE LOCAL CHURCH CityServe Louisiana is a partnership between Giving HOPE and CityServe International. The initiative empowers and equips churches to reach their communities, meet needs, offer hope, and see the lost redeemed in Jesus on a local and global level. Giving HOPE will begin working with the CityServe supply chain to resource the local church with tangible goods in-kind such as food, apparel, furniture, and other household items so churches can meet the needs of their neighborhoods with kindness and compassion.
"
This new warehouse is about mobilizing God’s Church to truly BE the Church by filling a need and building relationships. We know God is up to something good in Louisiana. - Karl Hargestam, Vice President of Affiliates, CityServe 22
