Woomera Open Round Up
Last weekend 36 golfers descended on Woomera’s famous Saltbush Meadows course for the annual Woomera Open. Woomera turned on some spectacular golfing weather with it remaining fine and sunny throughout the day and calm winds prevailing. The weekend was another spectacular success and congratulations to J. Schell and R. Bennett who were crowned the champions for 2017. that volunteered their time to have the course in championship condition, the grog cart drivers, and bar staff, we thank you all as well. Once again a great job was done by you all, without this support the weekend wouldn’t have been such a resounding success. A reminder that the Golf Club bar is open from 11.30am on Sundays serving icy cold refreshments and the best pastries in town; Golfies is the place to be! Golf this Sunday is a Par event with everyone to be assembled for a 7.30am tee off, all welcome.
