Dual Enrollment

CLASSES START AUGUST 11TH

What is Dual Enrollment?

• State-funded program that allows high schoolers to take college-level classes while still in high school

• Students are enrolled in college classes and are considered "regular" college students

• Allows high schoolers to begin earning college credit

who is eligible for de?

• Juniors or Seniors with a 2.5 or higher GPA

⚬ Further eligibility requirements for English or Math courses

• Sophomores who have a qualifying SAT or ACT score

• Must be enrolled in a public, private, or homeschool high school program

Georgia Residents

How many classes can you take?

• 45 quarter hour cap

⚬ 12 hours per term

• Decision made by the student and counselor recommendation

• Funding caps are set and maintained by the Georgia Student Finance Commission

Submit the Reverse Transfer Initiative Form

Reverse Transfer Initiative (RTI)

Students who have earned at least 23 credit hours with GMC and have transferred to a four-year institution without an Associate Degree may “reverse transfer” earned credits at their four-year institution to complete an Associate Degree with GMC. This process makes it possible for students to earn their Associate Degree while continuing to work on their Bachelor’s Degree.
