Fall Semester Recap During the district board meeting in April 2013, we set some pretty high goals because we knew we had a great district which could achieve them. We set a service hours goal of 4000 hours, district membership goal of 360 members, K-family hours goal of 300, 65 FMR and 80 DCON attendees, reactive/charter 4 clubs and raise $1,300 for the Eliminate project. So far, we have done an amazing job in achieving all our goals! We have completed 2,482 service hours (71%), reached a total membership of 200 members (56%), completed 833 K-family hours (278%), reactivated a club (1%) and had 42 attendees at FMR (65%). As your lieutenant governor, I will like to thank you all for playing your parts in making these achievements possible. The Metro division has been particularly essential to the success of the district due to our combined and individual club efforts. So far, all the clubs in our division have paid district and international dues. On an individual club level, Georgia Tech has completed over 1000 service hours, Atlanta University Center (AUC) is the only reactivated club and University of West Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia State and AUC have attended at least one of the district events and interclub events that happened last semester.
Due to all of your hard work, the Fall semester has been a great success and I implore to keep this up in the new semester. Although it has been a great semester in most respects, we have way to go in accomplishing some of our goals such as raising $1,300 towards the Eliminate Project and achieving a membership of 360 members. Based on the progress that we have made last semester, I am a 100% sure that we can meet these goals for the new semester! So, club officers, take a little time to reflect on what went well last semester and what didn’t go as well. This will help you to make the necessary adjustments that will lead to an even more successful spring semester. And club members, you are the most important piece in making this division and district as successful as it is and I look forward to seeing the results of your hard work next semester.
