George: “I am just the son f an incredible woman o deserved better than at she went through, d if there had been a she would still be with us today.” was too young to pass away and missed out on 15 years of her life struggling with Parkinson's disease. He misses her every second of every day. She was his best friend.
The book is, first, a memoir of and praise for my mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman, who was my best friend through both our lives until she passed on 1/1/2020. The book is also a heartfelt and often heart-wrenching recollection, and my reactions, of the beginnings of her Parkinson’s disease symptoms to our journey together.

orge: “I wrote this k with several other oses in mind. First is help those who are agnosed and living with Parkinson’s, aregivers, family mbers, and friends nfront the disease. nd is to comfort and ure them that their metimes conflicting, ten puzzling, and strated feelings are ormal. Third is to ovide a guide and offer practical suggestions and resources for dealing with PD. And finally, and possibly most important, my purpose is to raise awareness of PD and vigorously support the search for a cure."
