








Gen Healthy Minds was established in 2018 and over the past five years has worked with Early Careers teams across a wide range of sectors and countries to deliver our bespoke programmes. Everything we do is designed to help you thrive and perform at your best in work and life.
Our offering is unique as we tailor our programmes around developing wellbeing and performance of Apprentices and Graduates during their journey into Early Careers.
We are delighted to be supporting your Thames Water Apprentices Programme throughout 2023.
We will be running three Boost Masterclasses, two of which will be face to face and one online. This mix of sessions will support your wider development.
Our goal is to support you to stay healthy, happy and be able to perform to a high level both in and outside of the workplace. The performance and wellbeing tools and techniques that we will teach you will equip you to take on challenges ahead of you, both during your programme and beyond.
We will be providing you with content and development that we feel is most relevant at each stage of your Early Careers journey.
Sam Bishop is one of the Uk’s leading performance psychologists. Sam works with elite sports men and women as well as top businessmen and women to help them achieve peak performance in their roles.
Mike has worked for nearly two decades in early careers at Barclays and more latterly through his Gen Healthy Minds business working with businesses to deliver wellbeing and performance programmes that support business growth.
George is an international wellbeing speaker, coach and author who has worked with individuals and corporates for over 20 years. He has designed and delivered wellbeing courses, bootcamps and written books on the topic
Below is an overview of your Boost Programme designed to support you to flourish and perform at your best. As you can see, the programme will run two face to face and one online Boost Masterclasses, more details of times of each session will be later in this brochure. Each Masterclass will be presented by wellbeing and performance experts George Anderson and Sam Bishop.
Boost Performance Workshop 1 - May 2023
Our “Boost Your Performance – Preparing to perform ” masterclass will introduce apprentices to performance psychology and performance tools that will help them to stay motivated and perform at their best.
• An introduction to performance psychology
• The “ performance curve”
• Goal setting and motivation, why goals matter, how to set goals that stick and how to boost and maintain motivation along the way
• Overcoming barriers to performance
Our “Boost your Performance – Personal effectiveness” masterclass will look at the habits of high performers and how these can be taken into the workplace. We explore what effectiveness means and how to be the most effective version of yourself.

• The energy management model
• Building “superstructures in your day” to create high performance habits
• Planning and setting up your day for success
• Diet, activity, sleep and hydration best practice
Our “Boost Performance – Preparing your mind for success” masterclass will look at mental health and how our minds work. It explores positive psychology and how we can manage our minds every day to be happier, healthier and more productive.
• Positive psychology and the mental health continuum
• Understanding our minds – Neuro plasticity and negativity bias
• Managing our minds – tools and habits to stay mentally well and flourish including mindfulness, gratitude and journaling
• How to manage stress and develop resilience
• We are all individuals and think and act in different ways so each person going through this programme will take different things from it. The key is that you make it work for you and find the tools and knowledge you can take forward into your career:
