This proposal will cover the following;

1. What is current industry best practice in this space.

2. How could Gen Healthy Minds support Kubrick to be a leader in this space.

Measuring success of your approach.

INDUSTRY BEST PRACTICE

Most industries and major employers have begun to put in place wellbeing strategies that move well beyond basic H&S requirements. We have categorized current wellbeing strategies/frameworks into three “levels”.

Most companies will have in place some or all of the elements in level 1 and 2. Fewer have moved beyond this into the more proactive performance driven level 3 elements where wellbeing is seen as a key driver of performance and staff and managers are trained and confident to create a climate and culture where individuals can perform at their best.

For an organization such as Kubrick where many staff are working within other employers some of these elements are difficult to control e.g. clients may or may not have an EAP or and support networks in place. However, it is possible to boost the wellbeing culture of Kubrick by focusing on those elements that are in your control e.g. building wellbeing into the induction and training that takes place during the first 15 weeks or ensuring that all support staff /managers who support graduates thereafter are highly trained and that training is kept fresh and up-to-date.

MEASURING SUCCESS

The PERMAH wellbeing survey for workplaces is a recognised tool for assessing wellbeing within an organisation and identifying how it can be improved. The survey (which we recommend is completed at the start and end of the programme) shows how your colleagues score against the 6 areas of wellbeing within the PERMAH model namely;

Your workplace report will allow you to look at what is working well, where you are struggling and what you are learning about caring for wellbeing within the business. This will allow you to assess both the impact of this programme but also what wider approaches are required within the business to optimise wellbeing
