Welcome

Gen Healthy Minds was established in 2018 and over the past four years has worked with Early Careers teams across a wide range of sectors and countries to deliver our bespoke programmes. Everything we do is designed to help you thrive and perform at your best in work and life.

Our offering is unique as we tailor our programmes around developing wellbeing and performance of Apprentices and Graduates during their journey into Early Careers.

Introduction

We are delighted to be supporting your Babcock Graduate Programme. Throughout 2023 we will be running a series of high energy interactive online and face to face Boost Masterclasses

Our goal is to support you to you stay healthy, happy and be able to perform to a high level during your time at work and in your life outside of the workplace

The performance and wellbeing tools and techniques that we will teach you will equip you to take on the challenges ahead of you, both on your programme and beyond.

We will be providing content and development that we feel is most relevant at each stage of your Early Careers journey

Alex is a leading expert in Digital Wellbeing having conducted Academic research at Aberdeen University with a research focus on the impact that digital technology is having on wellbeing. She has used her expertise to create Live More Offline and a series of programmes to help people create a healthy relationship with digital technology in the workplace.

OUR EXPERT DELIVERY TEAM

Sam Bishop is one of the Uk’s leading performance psychologists. Sam works with elite sports men and women as well as top businessmen and women to help them achieve peak performance in their roles.

Mike has worked for nearly two decades in early careers at Barclays and more latterly through his Gen Healthy Minds business working with businesses to deliver wellbeing and performance programmes that support business growth.

George is an international wellbeing speaker, coach and author who has worked with individuals and corporates for over 20 years. He has designed and delivered wellbeing courses, bootcamps and written books on the topic

1-day face to face event – March/April

Morning

Our “Boost your mental wellbeing” masterclass will help participants boost their mental wellbeing every day

• Learn about positive psychology and positive psychology techniques and how these can boost wellbeing every day

• Gain practical skills and tools to boost wellbeing including practicing gratitude, check ins and mindfulness to help you to Flourish at work

Afternoon

Our “Boost your physical wellbeing masterclass explores how to maximise your mental and physical energy every day to feel great and perform at your best

• Understand the energy management model

• Explore how to improve diet, activity, sleep and hydration for immediate results

• How to build healthy routines in your day and create new habits

Follow on Masterclasses – April/May

Our “Boost your digital wellbeing” masterclass will help participants find balance, switch off from ‘always on’ patterns and reduce digital burnout

• Learn how being ‘always on’ impacts the body and mind and affects sustainable high performance

• Gain practical tips to reduce always on patterns

• Create a more positive relationship with technology for healthy high performance

Our “Boost your digital productivity” masterclass will help participants reclaim time in their day and work more effectively

• Uncover how digital distraction impacts your focus, creativity & strategic thought

• Learn the three different modes of work and how you can use these to be more effective at work

• Gain practical advice on reducing digital distractions and video exhaustion

Follow on Masterclasses- April/May

Our “Boost Wellbeing- Making stress your friend” masterclass will help participants build a positive relationship with stress

• Explore the “performance curve” and why stress is important to achieve peak performance

• Be able to recognize signs of stress and why they are manifesting themselves

• Learn tools and techniques for managing stress levels each day and become more resilient

Face-to-face event – May/June

Morning

Our “Boost your strengths” This Masterclass will use the “viacharacter strengths finder” questionnaire to explore participants strengths

During the Masterclass participants will:

• Understand the relevance and benefits of these insights.

• Learn why playing to your strengths is more important than improving your weaknesses.

• Create an action plan for how you can use these strengths more frequently.

Afternoon

Our “Boost your personal brand and networking skills” workshop helps participants to stand out as well as fit in at work. Graduates will explore

• the concept of personal branding and why it is important to bring your whole self to work.

• how to develop the 5 Elements of your personal brand and how this can have a positive impact on your career.

• How networking can build your brand – top tips to be a great networker

Our “Boost your performance – you are not a machine” masterclass will introduce participants to performance psychology and how it can be used in their daily lives.

• We will share interesting case studies of top-class athletes and business leaders to bring concepts to life in an interesting and engaging way.

• Explore the “human performance curve”

• Look at how to effectively manage our thoughts and emotions.

Our “Boost your performance – confidence and motivation masterclass looks at how we can overcome mental barriers that stop us performing at our best such as low motivation and low confidence.

• Explore the different barriers to performance and why they occur

• Find simple ways to boost motivation and confidence

• Learn tools and techniques to boost confidence and motivation every day

Our “Boost your personal effectiveness” masterclass will help participants plan and deliver against their goals in smart ways

• We look at how high performers manage their thoughts and emotions to perform more successfully

• How to set effective goals, manage high levels of workload, and plan for success.

• We share top tips and tools to track and manage performance.

• How to remove barriers to performance.

What do we need from you ?

• We are all individuals and think and act in different ways so each person going through this programme will take different things from it. The key is that you make it work for you and find the tools and knowledge you can take forward into your career:

• We therefore ask that you :

• Are open-minded to new concepts and ideas

• Are willing to give things a go and stick with them (after all it takes 21 days to form a habit!)

• Use the tools we provide you with – we know they work!

• Record your journey– we will be providing you with a journal. Every piece of research shows that journaling is one of the most powerful tools for self understanding and learning

• Actively participate, be inquisitive and make the most of the experts while you can
