Mini-Mayor Lobbies for Pink!
Sunlight’s mini-mayor, 6-year-old Colby Rogers of Rifle, began skiing at age 3. The 2018-19 ski season was her second term in office, and she successfully lobbied to have one chair painted bright pink. During her first term, Roberts issued an executive order implementing “Spaghetti Sundays,” where 10 percent of spaghetti sales are donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Spaghetti happens to be Roberts’ favorite meal. A new mini mayor, under the age of 12, is elected every November through an online voting process.
