BEYOND THE STRETCH A THERAPY PARTNERS GROUP NEWSLETTER
A MESSAGE FROM OUR CHIEF TRANSFORMATION OFFICER Wow, how time has flown! It is hard to imagine that It has already been a full year since I took the plunge into an entirely new industry in healthcare when I joined our company in April of 2021. Since that time when I was so graciously welcomed into this family, there have been many successes as well as challenging opportunities, but one constant has been our people. Every single person at our company plays a role in positively impacting our patients' lives whether directly or indirectly and I can feel the energy and commitment to that mission in everyone I have interacted with. For those of you who have not met me, my name is Paul Coyne, and I am the Chief Transformation Officer here at Therapy Partners Group. To share a bit of my background, growing up, my family and I were always on the move, relocating states 13 times to date. I finally landed in Philadelphia for High School and will always consider that my hometown. Moving so often allowed me to see so much of the country and understand many different perspectives and walks of life. It also forced me to become adaptable at a young age which I now consider to be a great strength in my personal and professional life. I’ve coincidentally had a chance to live in about two-thirds of our current markets, so please be patient with me if I ask you about somewhere or something that hasn’t been relevant in 20 years! While the Transformation Officer role and office have become more prevalent in recent years, I would guess not everyone has a full picture of what it entails. I think the consulting firm Accenture has done the best job in painting this picture by writing, “A good Transformation Officer integrates multiple distinct initiatives, delivers the desired outcomes, and is data-driven and focused on value. A transformation office then engages talent across the organization to adopt the new ways of working and collaborates throughout the process to help keep the transformation on track and help set the organization up for sustained success”. In this role, I am committed to leveraging cross-functional business and industry knowledge, operating with a data-driven decision-making mindset, and maintaining the ability to be unbiased and challenge traditional norms/processes. Additionally, I will ensure cohesive company strategy and prioritization and facilitate interdepartmental communication and alignment. Some of the current projects I have been working on include the rebranding of our parent company which you have all seen, developing the “TPG Way” and our company standards for how we treat our patients and one another. If you have ideas or anything you would like to discuss to improve our business I would love to hear from you! I am humbled by the work everyone on this team puts in every day and am privileged to be a member of this family.
