In order to use HEP2GO, you’ll need to create a free account:
1. Navigate to: https://www.hep2go.com/ 2. Click “Sign Up” on the upper right corner 3. Click “Free Plan” 4. Enter your name, email address, and create a password 5. Click “I am not a robot” and “I agree to the terms of use” 6. Complete your registration by clicking the link sent to your email by HEP2GO 7. You will now be able to log in
If you would like to create a HEP for a patient:
1. Navigate to: https://www.hep2go.com/
2. Click “Enter”, “I Agree”, and “Enter” again
3. Choose “Exercises” at the top left
4. Search for exercises you would like to add to the patient’s HEP
5. Add to the HEP by clicking the “+” button
6. When you’ve added all the exercises you want, click the check mark on the bottom right corner
7. Update any information you would like (description, reps, etc.)
8. When done with the HEP, click the “print” button on the lower right
9. When the print box pops up, click “print”

BEFORE YOUR FIRST DAY

You may work some Saturday shifts depending on your clinic location

Since this is your first or second clinical affiliation, you should not need to bring a computer since you will not be taking on your own caseload.
You can use your CI’s computer to practice documenting and navigating the EMR system. All patients will be on your CI’s schedule and they can gradually give you more patients based on your CPI requirements.

SINCE THIS IS YOUR FIRST OR SECOND ROTATION, YOU WILL BE OBSERVING AND WORKING WITH PATIENTS ON YOUR INSTRUCTOR’S SCHEDULE. IN ORDER TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL ROTATION, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PRACTICE:
Your organization of subjective exams for Initial Evaluations
Taking objective measurements such as ROM with a goniometer, manual muscle testing, assessing gait, and more!
Teaching and cueing different therapeutic exercises alongside your instructor
Educating patients and/or caregivers on body mechanics and different functional activities

Our goal is to create high-quality, challenging, and valuable clinical experiences for our student interns. We expect you to come ready to work hard to develop your skillset. You may get homework and we expect this to be done fully and on time. We are looking to guide your growth as a clinician, but you will only get out of this experience what you put in.

Onboarding/Orientation
Make sure you can log into your TPG email EMR
Start learning the EMR system (navigation and documentation)
Refer to Raintree Documentation/Navigation handout
Subjective Exams
Work on your flow/organization for taking a history
WEEK 2
Objective Exams
Work on flow for different body parts
You may have homework assignments on this; come prepared to discuss these assignments during mentorship times
Continue EMR training
Analysis, Assessment, Prognosis, Diagnosis
By this point, you should be able to perform a subjective exam proficiently You may still have homework assignments to refine your objective exams If appropriate, your CI may have you perform parts of initial evaluations (or the whole thing!) while they watch
WEEK 4
Interventions
Focus on prescription and dosage of exercises
Your CI will help to expand your intervention strategies for different patients
WEEK 5 & BEYOND
Up to you and your CI!
You should be getting more comfortable with taking on more patients on your schedule/CI’s schedule
Continue to identify areas of weakness, go over cases with your CI to grow your clinical reasoning
HELPFUL TIPS
Your CI will have topics in mind for mentorship, but feel free to request specific topics that you are interested in or need help with 60 minutes of mentorship per week will be blocked off, but utilize any open spots in the schedule for mentorship as well CPI

Every space counts because there are several medical providers in this building.
