I'm a proud Tucson native, raised in Southern Arizona. After earning my degree from the University of Arizona in Physiology, I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to helping others move and live better.

My journey began at BodyCentral Physical Therapy, where I started by shadowing clinicians during college After graduation, I joined the team as a physical therapy technician It was there, surrounded by passionate clinicians, that I witnessed the powerful impact of personalized care and movementbased healing. While I had always envisioned becoming a physical therapist, my time at BodyCentral also sparked a growing interest in fitness and rehabilitation. That led me to become a certified personal trainer within the same company. This role allowed me to bridge the gap between rehab and performance, helping clients regain strength, confidence, and quality of life after injury.

After nearly three years as a tech, I was accepted to physical therapy school. The hands-on experience and mentorship I received at BodyCentral laid the groundwork for my success. Following years of coursework and clinical rotations, I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Today, I’ve come full circle, returning to BodyCentral as a licensed physical therapist. I feel incredibly fortunate to serve the community that shaped me and to work alongside the team that inspired my professional journey. Completion of the Emerging Leaders program has been beneficial to my growth as a clinician and has helped to further my career aspirations. Each day, I’m driven by the opportunity to help patients reclaim their movement, build resilience, and live life to the fullest.

My name is Jake Halmrast, and I started the sports residency program in August 2024. I decided to do a sports residency program to push myself as a therapist in the treatment, acute management, and coverage of athletes, guided by high-level mentorship from various clinicians.

Having just graduated in May of 2024, I was looking for a sports residency that would aid in my development as a new grad PT. Since I have started this program, I have had numerous career growth opportunities involving sideline coverage for athletes, mentorship and didactic learning, MD shadowing, continuing ed opportunities, and more.

I have had the privilege of having some of the best mentors I could ask for, who have pushed me to become a better clinician and challenged my critical thinking (shoutout Sam, Laura, and Victor). I have grown in my confidence as a new grad physical therapist in my ability to treat athletes and non-athletes in my community. I am thankful to be involved in this sports residency program through TPG and ProSport and am looking forward to more professional growth!

Residency exposes you to a myriad of ideas, mentorship, and develops critical thinking skills.

Our Sports Residency program at TPG provides excellent career growth opportunities as well as growing your confidence/skills as a clinician. Upon completion, residents feel so much more confident treating any pathology that walks through the door. Speaking from personal experience, as one of the first 2 sports residents in the program, you don't know what you don't know. Residency exposes you to a myriad of ideas, mentorship, and develops critical thinking skills. There are so many ways to treat as a PT, as we operate so often in the "grey" that it can be overwhelming. Learning from several different mentors, with 20+ learning modules, you develop a skillset quickly and figure out what "style" of treatment works best for you. I'm eternally grateful for my residency experience and my mentors. I'm also proud to see some of our other residents move on to such cool jobs with USA Triathlon, Cincinnati Reds, D1 fellowship(s), and opening their own cash-pay clinics. Opportunities tend to present themselves to those that put in the work... "luck" being the byproduct of hard work.

...we train clinicians to identify nuances within diagnoses, have a keen eye for signs of hormone imbalance, build lifelong toolboxes for patients, and so much more.

Pelvic health rehabilitation fosters a safe space for body positivity, empowerment, and healing. As director of the Women's Health Residency program at TPG, I feel grateful that I get to share my passion for the science of the female body with residents and my patients. In the residency program, we train clinicians to identify nuances within diagnoses, have a keen eye for signs of hormone imbalance, build lifelong toolboxes for patients, and so much more. The benefits of pelvic health PT extend far beyond the clinic and the individual - a career in this field enhances awareness around women's health in the medical community. It is endlessly rewarding.

IS...it blends all the areas of career advancement that I had hoped for myself.

My name is Tyler Goslinga, and I am the director of the Sports PT Residency at Golden Bear Physical Therapy. I have appreciated the opportunity that was given to me by Therapy Partners Group to start a sports residency in my brand, as it is something that I had not thought of for myself before, but it blends all the areas of career advancement that I had hoped for myself. It was a very cool experience as different people throughout the company came together, knowing my dreams, and helped create a future that I could see myself thriving in.

Specialty outpatient rotations available including outpatient neurology, pelvic health, pediatrics, sports rehabilitation, orthopedic specialists. All rotations from early ICE to terminal clinical experiences with hiring opportunities are welcome. Local brand partners accepting students in 7 states.

This May I had the privilege of attending the CLP (Clinical Leadership Program) Conference in Chicago. This was such a collaborative experience that provided invaluable growth as a young clinical director The conference brought together a diverse group of leaders in physical therapy, creating an inspiring environment centered on confidence-building, leadership development, and collaborative learning.

Throughout the event, sessions focused on the practical challenges and opportunities faced by new clinical leaders. Workshops emphasized refining personal leadership styles, with a strong focus on authentic communication, emotional intelligence, and strategic decision-making These sessions helped me better understand my strengths and areas for growth as a leader, while offering tools to lead with purpose and clarity.

One of the most rewarding aspects of CLP was the opportunity to connect and collaborate with peers navigating similar career paths. Group discussions, case studies, and peer feedback sessions fostered a supportive atmosphere where everyone could share insights and learn from one another These conversations highlighted the importance of community, empathy, and adaptability in leadership especially in the ever-evolving landscape of patient care and team management.

Keynote speakers included seasoned clinical directors and healthcare executives who shared realworld experiences and lessons in resilience, team building, and cultivating a positive clinic culture. Their stories reinforced the importance of leading by example and maintaining a vision rooted in service and integrity.

By the end of the conference, I left feeling more empowered and better equipped to take on the responsibilities of leadership. The CLP experience not only deepened my understanding of what it means to be an effective clinical director but also reminded me that leadership is an ongoing journey of learning and connection I’m excited to bring these new perspectives and skills back to my clinic and continue growing alongside my team.

CLP WAS A COLLABORATIVE EXPERIENCE THAT PROVIDED INVALUABLE GROWTH AS A YOUNG CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Sports Residency has been everything I wanted as a new grad. Having the opportunity to work in Division I athletics with the University of Arizona and integrate into the baseball team has taught me a ton about sports medicine and acute injury management. It has also taught me how to play an effective role in managing injuries within a team of other providers and professionals.
