Story of Success, 10 years on at the Junction On the 4th of July 2008 local artist Elaine Thomson opened the doors of Junction art and gifts for the first time.

The gallery space on Holburn Street, Aberdeen, began with a strong emphasis on supporting local talent and has now grown to support talented artists and designers from across the whole of the UK. Growth of the business continued with the introduction of the bespoke picture framing service in Sept 2010. This also prompted the name and branding change, shortening it to today’s Junction arts. Elaine then welcomed her first member of Staff in 2013 and now has 2 part time members of staff to help with both the framing and day to running of the business. In 2015 we had a complete re-fit of the space from vintage shabby chic to a fresh industrial look. Giving us much more display space for even more great hand made products. To celebrate the 10th anniversary Elaine has invited all artists or makers that have exhibited with her across the last 10 years to submit a piece 10x10 inches in size or that would sit
