LA FETTA DI POLENTA

Casa Scaccabarozzi, questo il vero nome dell’edificio, è meglio conosciuto dai torinesi con il nome di “Fetta di Polenta” per la sua strana struttura ed il caratteristico colore giallo. Lo strano edificio ideato da Alessandro

Antonelli misura nel suo lato più stretto solo 54 centimetri. Si trattò di una vera e propria scommessa dell’architetto della Mole Antonelliana, il quale, per dimostrare la sicurezza dell’edificio, vi abitò con la moglie per alcuni anni.

Il Toro Che Esce Dal Muro

Si tratta di un’opera d’arte contemporanea dell’artista Richi Ferrero posizionata sul muro di Quadrato, il Relais Urbano realizzato dal Gruppo Building nel complesso dell’antico convento di Sant’Agostino. L’opera, che ritrae il simbolo cittadino, ritrae l’animale nell’atto di sfondare la parete quasi a voler uscire da un momento all’altro per conquistarsi piazzetta Visitazione su cui l’immobile si affaccia.

Il Sottomarino Nel Parco

Non tutti sanno che all’interno del Parco del Valentino si trova uno dei pochi reperti storiconavali di importanti dimensioni rimasti in Italia. Si tratta del sottomarino Andrea Provana, così chiamato in onore dell’Ammiraglio piemontese che partecipò alla battaglia di Lepanto nel 1571. Potete osservarlo dall’esterno oppure provare a prenotare telefonicamente una visita guidata con un socio dell’Associazione Marinai.

Il Palazzo Col Piercing

Ebbene sì, avete capito bene si tratta proprio di un palazzo con un piercing. Si trova nel centro di Torino e si tratta di una installazione artistica che doveva essere temporanea e che invece, amata dal pubblico, è diventata permanente. L’opera, che si chiama in realtà “Baci Urbani”, è stata ideata dall’architetto Corrado Levi in collaborazione con il gruppo di artisti Cliostraat.

IL PORTONE DEL DIAVOLO

Torino è una città magica, per le sue bellezze architettoniche, artistiche e culinarie secondo alcuni, perché è al centro dei due triangoli della magia nera e magia bianca secondo altri. IL DITO DI COLOMBO

Se siete alla ricerca di un po’ di fortuna potete passare da Piazza Castello per sfregare la mano sul dito di Cristoforo Colombo. Gli studenti torinesi lo fanno prima di un esame. L’Altorilievo, inaugurato nel 1923, che raffigura il celebre navigatore è opera dell’artista Dino Somà. Nel corso degli anni, il dito si è assottigliato talmente tanto a causa di questa tradizione, che è stato necessario sostituirlo.

La Panchina Degli Innamorati

Il Giardino Roccioso, splendida area verde nel Parco del Valentino, ospita la Panchina Innamorata, una scultura raffigurante una panchina su cui sono seduti due lampioni che sembrano abbracciati. L’opera è stata realizzata da Rodolfo Marasciuolo, il giardiniere-artista che da anni rende ancora più belli giardini e aree verdi del capoluogo piemontese con le sue opere. Oltre alla panchina, nel giardino troverete numerose altre sculture assolutamente da scoprire.

A Slice Of Polenta

Casa Scaccabarozzi, the real name of the building, is better known to the Turinese by the name of “Fetta di Polenta” due to its strange structure and characteristic yellow colour. The strange building designed by Alessandro Antonelli measures only 54 centimeters on its narrowest side. It was an actual bet by the architect of the Mole Antonelliana, who, to demonstrate the safety of the building, lived there with his wife for a few years.

The Bull Coming Out Of The Wall

A contemporary work of art by the artist Richi Ferrero positioned on the wall of Quadrato, the Relais Urbano created by Gruppo Building in the complex of the ancient convent of Sant’Agostino. The work, which portrays the city symbol, features the animal in the act of breaking through the wall as if it wants to leave at any moment to conquer the little square Visitazione, which the building overlooks.

The Submarine In The Park

Not everyone knows that inside the Parco del Valentino there is one of few historical-naval relics of important dimensions left in Italy. It is located in the center of Turin and it is an art installation that was supposed to be temporary but instead, loved by the public, has become permanent. The Rocky Garden, a splendid green area in the Valentino Park, houses the Panchina Innamorata, a sculpture depicting a bench on which two lampposts are sitting, seemingly to embrace each other. The work was created by Rodolfo Marasciuolo, the gardener-artist who for years has been making the gardens and green areas of the Piedmontese capital even more beautiful with his works. In addition to the bench, in the garden you will find numerous other sculptures that are absolutely worth discovering.
