Kingston is experiencing a shortage of family doctors. Here are some resources to help you to find a physician for your family. Military Family Doctor Network: This network is a partnership with Calian Health and Military Family Services (MFS). The goal is to improve access to quality health care for families of serving CAF members. To register, you can: 1. Complete the online form and email it to MFDN@calian.com or 2. Print the online form and fax it to 1-800-511-0219 or 3. Call the Military Family Doctor Network at 1-877-633-7722 x 3507 After you have registered a representative from Calian will contact you to review your requirements and work with you to find a family doctor. Health Care Connect: This program refers Ontarians who don't have a family doctor to health care providers who may be accepting new patients. A valid OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) is required to register and a health questionnaire will have to be completed. To sign in you may: 1. Complete the online form or 2. Call Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1822 Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

We suggest that you register with the Military Family Doctor Network and Health Care Connect to reduce the waiting time. Please note in Ontario children do not see a pediatrician unless there are health issues. Your little one would see a regular family doctor.

Après votre inscription, un représentant de Calian communiquera avec vous pour examiner vos besoins et vous aider à trouver un médecin de famille. Accès Soins : Ce programme oriente les Ontariens qui n’ont pas de médecin de famille vers des fournisseurs de soins qui sont en mesure d’accepter de nouveaux patients. Vous devez avoir une carte d’assurance maladie de l’Ontario (OHIP) valide et remplir un questionnaire sur votre santé. Pour vous inscrire, vous pouvez : 1. Remplir le formulaire en ligne, ou 2. Appeler Accès Soins au 1 800 445 1822 du lundi au vendredi de 9 à 17 heures.

Nous vous suggérons de vous inscrire au réseau des médecins de famille militaires et à Accès Soins pour réduire le temps d’attente. Soulignons qu’en Ontario, les enfants ne consultent pas de pédiatre, sauf s’ils ont un trouble de santé. Votre enfant consultera un médecin de famille régulier.
