This evening’s racecard also features two top National Hunt Races in the Guinness Galway Tribes Hurdle and the Guinness Galway Blazers Steeplechase both valued at €80,000.

BUDDY ONE has been acquitting himself admirably at the spring festivals and could have won at Cheltenham had he not hung badly to the left. He put in another strong effort when runner-up at Aintree and he shows lots of pace in his races so this drop in trip should pose no issues. He was quite exuberant early on that day but battled well to hold onto second and he seemed as if he would learn plenty from that outing. Captain Maverick ran to a decent level on debut and the Dermot Weld stable has been in good form this week, while Aafoor looks an interesting newcomer for Joseph O’Brien.
