RACE 1: 5.00pm

THE GUINNESS GALWAY TRIBES HANDICAP HURDLE OF €80,000 (Generously sponsored by Guinness) Winner will receive €48,000 (Penalty Value: €47,200), Second will receive €16,000, Third will receive €8,000, Fourth will receive €4,000, Fifth will receive €2,400, Sixth will receive €1,600. An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards(140 = 11st 12lbs). About 2 miles 11 yards. €720 to enter, €80 extra if declared to run. Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper. Exclusions - Horses remaining in The Guinness Galway Hurdle on Thursday 3rd August after the deadline for reserves (10.a.m. Wednesday 2nd August) will be excluded from this race. Horses which receive a published weight of 9st 13lbs or less will be entitled to a 50% reduction in entry fee. THE JAMES’S GATE IRISH EBF MEDIAN AUCTION MAIDEN OF €19,000 (IRE Incentive Scheme Bonus Race) (Generously sponsored by Guinness and the Irish EBF (€6,000)) Winner will receive €11,400 (Penalty Value: €11,210), Second will receive €3,800, Third will receive €1,900, Fourth will receive €950, Fifth will receive €570, Sixth will receive €380. Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper. Exclusions - Horses remaining in The Tote Galway Plate on Wednesday 2nd August after the deadline for reserves (10.a.m. Tuesday 1st August) will be excluded from this race.
