Welcome Back To Ballybrit
On behalf of the Galway Race Committee and the team at Galway Racecourse, we’re delighted you have joined us on the fifth day of the Galway Races Summer Festival where we have eight exciting races to look forward to, including the feature race on the card the €110,000 Guinness Handicap. This evening’s racecard also features two top National Hunt Races in the Guinness Galway Tribes Hurdle and the Guinness Galway Blazers Steeplechase both valued at €80,000.
We would like to thank today’s sponsors Guinness who generously sponsor the entire card for their continued support and we hope that they and their guests have an enjoyable day.
Tradition and soul are two components of any great event and the Galway Races Summer Festival have both in abundance. We’ve a fantastic week planned and we hope you have a great experience with us.
This year we welcome back our valued partners and sponsors whose investment in our event help make the Galway Races what it is. This week there is more than €2.1 million of prizemoney on o er, with fifty-three races over the seven days.
Today is also Friday’s Most Stylish competition in association with Athlone Town Centre and judged this year by Arthur Gourounlian and Marietta Doran. We are sure it will be a great occasion and wish you all the best of luck.
Do join us at the parade ring prior to racing where we host a Racing Preview with Dave Keena who will mark your card for the day ahead. Enjoy meeting old friends and new here in Ballybrit.
Best wishes,
Mr. Anthony M. Ryan
