DISTRICT ONE PATROL
ABOUT DISTRICT ONE
District One is the most populous patrol district with a population of 492,901 covering 148 square miles. Features encompassed in District One include Hooks Airport, Exxon’s World Headquarters, State Highways 249, 99 and Beltway 8. John Nanny is the Captain.
ABOUT CAPTAIN JOHN NANNY
Captain Nanny is a 31-year veteran of the HCSO. During his tenure he has worked in detentions, all patrol districts, internal affairs, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA), and the academy. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Class #239) and the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (Class #52). He has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Leadership & Management.

DISTRICT ONE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

(Left) Longtime residents of District 1, Mr. Lee and his son, wanted to show their appreciation to our deputies with a BBQ luncheon for all 3 shifts.
(Right) The Children’s Mission Group, Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors with Champion Forest Baptist Church provided our deputies with delicious cookies!
(Left) Our CPAAA members always showing their support and love to our HCSO.
(Right) Mary Matthews with Champion Forest & Mike Parsons with Estates of Winrush provided our deputies with a cookie cake.



DISTRICT ONE CRIME REDUCTION UNIT (CRU) ACTIVITY

(Left) D1 Crime Reduction Unit observed suspicious activity around a vehicle in an apartment complex on Ella Blvd. They discovered a large drug transaction in progress. Suspect was taken into custody for felony possession with a weapon enhancement.
(Right) D1 Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the seizure of 6 pounds of TCH edibles, a felony offense.
(Left) D1 Crime Reduction Unit made back to back traffic stops while working a high crime area. On the first stop, a loaded pistol was found on a gang member. The second stop yielded a second gun along with a felony amount of narcotics. Both suspects were arrested.



(Right) D1 Crime Reduction Unit apprehended a wanted felon after a brief pursuit that ended in a crash (no injuries). A loaded pistol and narcotics were recovered.

DISTRICT ONE PATROL ACTIVITY

(Left) District 1 patrol conducts road closures at Spring Cypress and HufsmithKohrville Road during the February 2021 Freeze.
(Right) District 1 patrol confiscated 2 lbs. of Marijuana, 8 lbs. of edibles, a gun and various prescription medications from a suspect at Cornerstone and Walters Rd.


(Left) District 1 units were out on two stolen vehicles submerged underwater near Fallbrook Drive and Ella Boulevard.
(Right) District 1 patrol units responded to an aggravated kidnapping call. Upon arriving, deputies discovered the victim, suspect, and several weapons and drugs.
