DISTRICT THREE PATROL

ABOUT DISTRICT THREE

District Three is the largest district in area covering 237 square miles. Features encompassed in District Three include the Houston Ship Channel, San Jacinto River, Galveston and Burnett Bay, and a large petrochemical industry. Nathan Douglas is the captain.

ABOUT CAPTAIN NATHAN DOUGLAS

Captain Nathan Douglas is a 31-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure, he has worked in the Detention and Patrol Bureaus. Captain Douglas has served Patrol District Three as a deputy, sergeant, and lieutenant. He graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Nation Academy Session #269 in September 2017. Captain Douglas obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston in December 1996.

DISTRICT THREE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

(Left) District 3 patrol team up with Commissioner Adrian Garcia and the community in effort to clean a large section of Uvalde Road that was heavily littered.

(Right) Captain Douglas visits with Sidney, a good friend he’s known since birth. 2.5 years to be exact!

(Left) San Jacinto Troop 132388 show their support to our District 3 Patrol by gifting all 3 shifts with delicious cookies!

(Right) The community gathered with Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Major Cotter, and our District 3 team to honor the late Deputy Jesse Valdez.

DISTRICT THREE CRIME REDUCTION UNIT (CRU) ACTIVITY

(left) District 3 CRU conduct a traffic stop which led to the arrest of the driver who was in possession of 46 kilos of cocaine!

(right) District 3 CRU conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a hidden compartment. Inside was discovered $160,000 in cash. The money and vehicle were seized due to narcotic involvement.

(left) District 3 CRU recovered a variety of drugs after making contact with a suspicious vehicle in the community. Suspect was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

(right) District 3 C.R.U conducted a traffic stop in the Crosby area( East Harris County). Two offenders were taken into custody and several illegal drugs and firearms were seized.

DISTRICT THREE PATROL ACTIVITY

(Left) District 3 Deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit with an Aggravated Assault suspect, the suspect was taken into custody after he wrecked.

(Right) District 3 deputy was attempting to stop a U-haul truck when struck by a car. Deputy had his emergency equipment activated. Deputy and passenger in the car both suffered non life threatening injuries. Intoxication is suspected.

(Left) District 3 responded to a aggravated robbery in the 6000 block of Thompson Rd . Deputies located the two female suspects and arrested them. Cash recovered and two guns seized as evidence.

(Right) District 3 deputy located a suspect vehicle wanted for two business robberies. The suspect fled and rolled the vehicle over on Stroker Road. Violent and Vehicular Crime Units responded to the scene with District III. A serial robber was captured.
