Peppermint Brownies 2 cups chopped raw zucchini 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup coconut oil 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup low fat Greek Yogurt 1 cup semi-sweet 1 1/4 cups sugar chocolate chips 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract 2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Preheat oven to 350º F and grease a 9x13 pan. In blender, puree zucchini, oil, yogurt, sugar, and vanilla. Set aside. In a large bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add pureed wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring until moist throughout. Add in chocolate chips. Pour into greased pan, spread evenly, and bake for 20 - 25 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack. Cool for 20 minutes and frost while still warm.

To make frosting: 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup milk 1 cup icing sugar 2 tbsp butter candy canes crushed
Place split vanilla bean in Cognac. Prepare the Cognac-vanilla mixture at least one day ahead so that the flavours can mingle.
Combine chocolate chips, milk, butter, and vanilla in microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 30 - 40 seconds. Remove and stir until mixture is smooth. Add icing sugar and mix until smooth. Spread evenly over brownies while they are still slightly warm. Sprinkle with crushed candy cane.
1 cup Cognac or brandy 1 large vanilla bean, split lengthwise 1/2 cup crème de cassis (blackcurrant-flavoured liqueur) 3 750-ml bottles Brut Champagne
Pour 1 teaspoon vanilla Cognac and 2 teaspoons crème de cassis into each of 12 Champagne glasses. Fill glasses with Champagne and serve.

Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society Providing programs to benefit the community
The Surrey Fire Fighters have been serving the community since 1957, and they pride themselves in their effort to raise funds for community programs and in support of community based programs in Surrey. They fundraise through a variety of ways at annual events and on-going programs which are imperative to the success of their Charitable Society. All of the money that is donated goes directly to helping Surrey’s citizens with a special focus on children, youth, seniors, and families. The money raised goes to: Community Care Programs, Youth and School Programs, Health Care, and Mental Health and Addiction. The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society is one hundred percent volunteer based—they have a dedicated team of fire fighters who deliver their programs. Since they are out in the community everyday for their jobs, they see the need that is out there, and they strive to find ways to help out.
