EMPOWERED LIVING BY FOREFRONT LIVING

Empowered Living (EL), a new in-home personal assistance service offered as a joint venture through Forefront Living and Focused Health Services, is now available at Presbyterian Village North and The Outlook at Windhaven. EL teammates can be hired to help with bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping and companionship to enhance a resident's quality of life. Read more.

Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) puts patients and their families at the center of everything they do. A recent note from a family whose father spent his final week at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center shows how much their thoughtful care can mean. Read more.

Chantell Scott has 30 years of professional experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker. She joined the team at Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) and the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center in April of 2025, where she serves as a liaison between patients, families and the medical team. Chantell is passionate about advocacy and wants families served by FPH to feel heard and know they are supported. Read more.

VIP RECEPTION CELEBRATES HONOREES

On the evening of September 24, friends of the Forefront Living Foundation gathered for a celebratory reception, at the home of Ruth Ruhl, to applaud the seven Each Moment Matters (EMM) Luncheon honorees. They will be formally recognized at the EMM Luncheon on October 16. Read more.

FLF SHARES MISSION AT OAW

Teammates from the Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) joined The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) residents for the community’s September 10 Happy Hour. They shared details about two important fundraising events: North Texas Giving Day on September 18, and the Each Moment Matters Luncheon on October 16. Read more.

HOT RODS WITH HEART SUPPORT FPH

More than 60 cars rolled in to support Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) at the 17 Annual Faith Presbyterian Hospice Car and Truck Show, hosted by the Lake Cities Misfits Car Club at Huffines Subaru in Corinth, located just outside of Dallas. The event raised $1,294 through entry fees and donations to support the FPH Caring Fund. Read more. th

THANK YOU FOR GIVING ON NTGD!

Thanks to generous donors, the Forefront Living Foundation raised more than $43,000 for North Texas Giving Day (NTGD)! This support provides compassionate and life-affirming care for those served by Forefront Living Whether it’s helping those who are uninsured or underfunded, providing comfort therapies for patients or offering spiritual care and grief support for children and families, each gift, no matter the amount, makes a big impact. On September 11, Patriot Day, The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) hosted a special luncheon to thank the city of Plano’s first responders. Plano firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel attended. Read more.

OAW HONORS FIRST RESPONDERS

OAW STEPS INTO BALLROOM DANCING

The Outlook at Windhaven’s (OAW) popular weekly “Line Up and Dance” line dancing class led to a growing resident interest in learning more dance styles. By request, OAW residents are now trying something new during a six-week Ballroom Dance class led by a professional dance instructor. This class is another example of how residents are having fun at every stage. Read more.

Summer ended on a high note at The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) with a Sunset Luau, which brought together residents for an evening of tropical food and entertainment. OAW neighbors celebrated the end of summer in true aloha spirit and the fun night wrapped up with an exciting Hawaiian fire performance that lit up the courtyard. Read more.

DAVID LODWICK 100 BUGLE ARTICLES

For nearly nine years, David Lodwick has shared his gift for writing with the Presbyterian Village North community. Since becoming part of the writing staff, David (now 94 years old) has written an incredible 100 articles for The Bugle, the resident-led newspaper that keeps neighbors connected and informed. Meet Connie Smith, Executive Assistant at Presbyterian Village North (PVN). Connie has been part of the PVN team for 17 years. In this Teammate Spotlight, she talks about her day-today work, how her role has evolved and what she enjoys most about connecting with residents and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Rick Rickman, Presbyterian Village North resident, is a devoted alumnus of Texas A&M University (TAMU) and was honored at the 47th Annual Burgess Banquet Since 1977, one person has been selected to receive the Hall of Honor recognition and Rick was the 2025 recipient! This award is given to those who have made extraordinary contributions to A&M athletics Read more

Presbyterian Village North (PVN) recently wrapped up Hispanic Heritage Month with a lively happy hour celebrating the traditions of Hispanic culture. Residents gathered for festive drinks, great company and a vibrant atmosphere that honored the month’s spirit of connection. The event even featured two talented Spanish dancers who brought extra energy and fun to the celebration. Read more.
