CAMP ERIN DFW 2025: WHERE GRIEVING HEARTS FIND LIGHT, LAUGHTER AND LOVE Camp Buckner, nestled in the scenic hills of Central Texas, served as the perfect setting for Faith Presbyterian Hospice’s (FPH) fourth annual Camp Erin DFW, a free, weekend-long bereavement camp offered in conjunction with FPH’s Child and Family Bereavement Program. Held this year from June 20–22, the Camp Erin DFW experience was made possible through the generous support of the Forefront Living Foundation, which raised funds to cover the camp’s $30K cost.

CHARLOTTE AND DON TEST DEDICATION On June 9, the Forefront Living Foundation honored the life and legacy of Charlotte Test, longtime friend and generous supporter of the organization, with a rededication of the Spiritual Care Center at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center. The space is now named The Charlotte and Don Test Spiritual Care Center. Read more.

Raul Solano serves as Executive Chef and Food Service Director at the Mabee Foundation Café.

In his role, he manages the Café culinary department and works to provide a nourishing and excellent dining experience for Faith Presbyterian Hospice patients and families.

MASSAGE THERAPISTS GATHER TO TRAIN IN END-OF-LIFE CARE Twelve massage therapists from around the country recently gathered at Forefront Living's Marnie and Kern Wildenthal Education Center to complete a three-day course titled “Palliative Massage for People at the End of Life.” The course was coordinated by Faith Presbyterian Hospice Massage Therapist Cindy Spence. FAITHFUL WISH GLAM DAY FOR FPH PATIENT

Earlier this month Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) teammates were able to grant a “Faithful Wish” for a patient in the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center. She was treated to a glam day — complete with hairstyling and a manicure! Click here to learn more about Faithful Wishes.

FPH ACHIEVES PARTNERSHIP WITH WE HONOR VETERANS Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) is proud to announce that it has officially advanced to a Level One Partner with We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This milestone marks a renewed and strengthened commitment to recognizing and supporting the unique needs of the Veterans served by FPH at the end of life. Read more.

POSTCARDS FROM CAMP ERIN DFW: FLF TEAMMATES VOLUNTEER At Camp Erin DFW, a supportive environment allows campers to explore their grief with peers who understand what they’re going through. But creating a successful camp experience for grieving children and their families takes far more than just planning, it takes a village made up of bereavement professionals and dedicated volunteers who create a nurturing space. This year that “village” included two teammates from the Forefront Living Foundation (FLF). Read more.

OAW SUPPORTS ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS The Longest Day, also known as the summer solstice, is a day when the Alzheimer’s Association asks communities and organizations across the country to bring light to the darkness of Alzheimer’s by raising awareness and funds for care, support and research. On June 20, The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) took part in The Longest Day by pedaling for a cause. Read more.

TEAMMATE SPOTLIGHT ON KRIS ROSS Kristy (Kris) Ross is a Resident Services Specialist for The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW), a role she began in August of 2024. She serves as the welcoming face and central hub of communication for the community, creating an inviting experience for everyone who walks through the doors. The Resident Services team help manage residents’ requests, responding to concerns with care and promptness and assist with keeping the OAW community running smoothly.

This year, she stepped into a new role as Assisted Living (AL) Community Relations Director, where she helps residents and families navigate life transitions with care and understanding. Read more. PVN CELEBRATES 45 YEARS Presbyterian Village North (PVN) marked a noteworthy milestone over the weekend of May 30–June 1, celebrating 45 years of enriching lives. The weekend consisted of a fun-filled lineup of activities for residents, teammates, family members and friends.
