Presbyterian Village North celebrated with a ribbon-cutting for Bezos Academy – North Dallas on November 3. The tuition-free, fullday preschool opened its doors to students on November 7. This is the second Bezos Academy preschool that will be located in a senior living facility, and one for four Bezos Academy preschools currently set to open in Dallas. Read more.

Movin’ On Up: OAW’s Moving Expo

More than 100 VIPs participated in The Outlook at Windhaven’s (OAW) Moving Expo, held at Stonebriar Country Club and hosted by the dynamic OAW Sales and Marketing team. This well-attended event showcased 20 helpful vendors, all offering diverse support for moving, organizing, decluttering and downsizing needs. Attendees reveled in the friendships of soon-to-be neighbors, won exciting vendor door prizes and walked away with exclusive OAW tote bags. Read more.

Children’s Grief Awareness Month

November is not only a time for falling leaves and Thanksgiving; it is also Children’s Grief Awareness Month, a poignant reminder of the importance of acknowledging and supporting grieving children and their families. The profound impact of losing a parent or sibling cannot be understated, and the statistics are alarming. According to the JAG Institute’s 2023 Childhood Bereavement Estimation Model Report, 1 in 12 children, or approximately 6 million children, in the United States will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. FPH Earns Fifth Consecutive Accreditation From

National Institute for Jewish Hospice

Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) participated in the 38th National Institute for Jewish Hospice (NIJH) accreditation conference in Newark, New Jersey on November 15-16, 2023. At the conference, Elise Power, FPH Jewish Hospice Community Liaison, led a breakout session discussing networking, marketing and outreach techniques for optimal care for Jewish patients and their families. A FEAST OF GRATITUDE

FPH’S Thanksgiving Potluck Lunch As part of the season of gratitude envelops, Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving with its annual Potluck Lunch. On November 9, more than 75 FPH teammates from various departments gathered to share a meal, laughter and camaraderie in celebration of their collective dedication and hard work. Read more.

Former Each Moment Matters Luncheon Chairs

Gather to brainstorm A group of former Each Moment Matters Luncheon (EMM) Chairs and Forefront Living Foundation teammates, gathered on November 6, at the home of Admiral and Mrs. Patrick M. Walsh. Their aim was to brainstorm innovative ideas to ensure the Luncheon’s continued success. The lovely meal and ambiance was enhanced by The Garden Gate elegant floral centerpieces, adding sophistication to the atmosphere. xx Read more.

Appreciation Lunch Held for FPH Floral Volunteers

Junior Villanueva, owner of The Garden Gate, hosted a beautiful lunch for Linda Laughlin and her volunteer group called the Giving Garden. These ladies have regularly donated flowers to Faith Presbyterian Hospice patients and families for more than four years. We are grateful for their support and partnership.

Forefront Living is a proud sponsor of the 8th Annual Faith & Grief Memorial Arch at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas from Nov. 26 – Dec. 17. The Arch is a hopeful and comforting place where everyone is invited to honor their loved ones by writing their names on ribbons and tying them to the Arch as a symbol of remembrance. Read more.

The 3rd annual Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) Gratitude Event was held on November 1, in McGowan Auditorium at Presbyterian Village North, led by Rabbi Howard Wolk and Rev. Jarod Copper. Aggie and Allen Stryker Allen and Aggie began thinking about senior living communities about ten years ago. As they began their search, they looked at many places, but OAW stood out in the best way! The Strykers already feel a camaraderie with their fellow VIPs and appreciate the way the OAW staff has worked hard to create community before they have even moved in. PVN PVN’s 4th Annual Gobble Hobble Wobble

The Community Life and Wellness teams at Presbyterian Village North (PVN) orchestrated a lively start to the holiday week with the much-anticipated 4th Annual Gobble Hobble Wobble. On the brisk and windy morning of November 21, nearly 50 spirited participants, including two charismatic turkeys, gathered to infuse their day with healthy movement and a dash of fun. Read more.
