OAW CELEBRATES WITH A TEXAS-SIZED GRAND LAUNCH PARTY

The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) officially marked its place in the Plano community with a Grand Launch celebration on April 16. OAW residents and teammates, civic leaders and project partners gathered to recognize the vision and effort that helped bring the senior living community to life. The Texas-themed event included remarks from OAW Executive Director Kristen Jordan, City of Plano Councilmember Shelby Williams and Rutledge Haggard, owner of Haggard Property Group. The program concluded with a festive bang as Forefront Living CEO Tim Mallad and teammates released confetti cannons adding sparkle and more excitement to the celebratory event. Read more.

FIND SUPPORT AT FAITH KIDS

On April 10, Faith Kids gathered for its first session of 2025. Faith Kids is a free monthly support group provided by Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH), for children ages 3 to 18, who have experienced the loss of a close loved one. The FPH team and volunteers welcomed 14 families for an evening focused on support and healing. The session focused on helping attendees understand the importance of honoring difficult feelings and learning healthy ways to care for themselves during emotional moments. Read more.

JOE LANDO 2025 EMM KEYNOTE

The Forefront Living Foundation is pleased to announce actor Joe Lando as the Keynote Speaker for the 2025 Each Moment Matters (EMM) Luncheon. Lando’s career spans television and film. Best known for his role as Byron Sully on the popular television series, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993–1998), he first gained attention as Jake Harrison on the soap opera One Life to Live and has appeared in numerous other productions.

EMM HOST COMMITTEE SUPASSES 100 MEMBERS

The 2025 Each Moment Matters (EMM) Host Committee plays a vital role in the success of the EMM luncheon, raising funds supporting benevolent hospice care and other special programs at Faith Presbyterian Hospice. This year’s committee is comprised of more than 100 members, including seven mother/daughter duos. View Host Committee list.

A LEGACY OF CARE: EMM LETTER SIGNING

Lora Farris and Susan Farris, 2025 Each Moment Matters (EMM) Luncheon Co-Chairs, hosted a special happy hour for members of the 2025 EMM Host Committee. Held at the home of longtime luncheon supporters and this year’s EMM Presenting Sponsors, Cathy and Bill Davis, the gathering offered an opportunity for connection, preparation and personalization and resulted in more than 700 signed underwriting letters. MEADOWS SCHOLARSHIP FUND IMPACT CONTINUES

On Thursday, April 10, the Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Scholarship Committee awarded two more scholarships to exemplary PVN teammates: Rashaad Boyd and Latassa Fletcher. Generously funded through the Adair Foundation, the Patricia and Curtis Meadows Scholarship fund supports teammates wishing to enhance their senior living careers by pursuing further education. Courtney Lammons serves as Independent Living Community Life Coordinator at The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW), joining the community in September of 2024. She creates, organizes and facilitates engaging events and activities for OAW residents. Read more.

BOOT SCOOTIN’ DANCE PARTY

OAW’S DANCING OUTLAWS

After Outlook at Windhaven teammates Courtney Lammons, Community Life Coordinator, and Katie Snezhkova, Director of Resident Services, danced nonstop at the community’s Valentine’s Day Gala, several residents asked if the dynamic duo would teach them some moves too. What started as a small dance demonstration is now a popular weekly dance class. Read more.

FIRST RESPONDER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST

The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) hosted its inaugural First Responders Appreciation Breakfast, welcoming special guests from the Plano Police Department and Fire Stations 7, 8 and 13. The morning was filled with gratitude and plenty of good food as the city’s first responders and a group of 20 OAW residents connected over breakfast. Read more.

A group of 20 residents, known as The Outlook at Windhaven’s (OAW) Dancing Outlaws, meets twice a week to learn popular line dances and classic wedding favorites. The Outlaws made their debut performance at OAW’s Grand Launch, wearing matching blue bandanas and showing off popular country line dances. Read more.
