ZIEGLER CLOSES ON FINANCING FOR BELLA VIDA

Specialty investment bank Zielger closed on $230.3 million in funding for Bella Vida, an independent living and memory care community being developed by Forefront Living in the La Cantera area of San Antonio.

Along with other available funds, the bonds will be used to finance and refinance the cost of acquiring, developing and constructing the new retirement community. Read more.

INTRODUCING: TIERNEY TITUS, CERTIFIED CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST

We are pleased to announce that Tierney Titus joined the Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) team as a Certified Child Life Specialist. In this role she will provide individualized care to children through play, self-expression activities and developmentally appropriate education. Tierney looks forward to bringing a new perspective and fresh ideas to continue growing and expanding the FPH Child Life Program. HEALING HARMONY AT FPH The halls of the T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center were recently filled with the lovely sounds of classical music, as internationally accomplished pianist and teacher, Dr. Jeeyung Lee, performed in the Spiritual Care Center. Dr. Lee is currently pursuing certification as a music practitioner and is dedicated to bringing comfort and healing to others through her music. Read more. Watch video.

DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES ON A FPH VISIT Last month a group of special volunteers visited a few Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) patients to shower them with love. The group included Public Relations and Events Manager Wendy Van Bemmel, Video and Visual Content Coordinator Sarah Macias, Cristo Rey Work-Study Student Jocelyn Ramirez and Senior Consultant Health Care and Life Services CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) Mary Lippel. They each took time to write write about their perspective of what it meant to make these special stops.

On Monday, March 25, the Forefront Living Foundation hosted members of the Advisory Council for an engaging gathering at the home of Andy and Dr. Patrick Walsh.

OAW THERAPY ROOM OPENS DOORS TO HEALING

The Therapy Room at The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) officially opened on March 10. This specialty service provides outpatient Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy for residents as well as patients of any age with a doctor’s order.

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) observed Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, with a special service centered on reflection, prayer and the imposition of ashes. The ashes are a formal reminder of mortality and the need for repentance upon entering a season of spiritual renewal. Shane Barnes, OAW’s Director of Spiritual Life, delivered a message that explored the history of Ash Wednesday. Read more.

TEAMMATE SPOTLIGHT ON JULIE LEBID Julie Lebid has worked as an Executive Assistant at The Outlook at Windhaven since May of 2024. In this role, she supports the administrative team, managing schedules and meetings as well as assisting with special projects and event planning. Read more.

PVN SOUND BATH IN NATURAL AWAKENINGS MAGAZINE Presbyterian Village North (PVN) recently hosted an inaugural wellness event introducing its residents to the transformative practice of floating sound baths at their Indoor Lifestyle Fitness Center pool. This session, led by master reiki practitioner Meghan Herrera, of Graceful Transcendence, an intuitive healer renowned for her expertise in sound therapy and senior wellness, marked a significant step in integrating holistic therapies into senior wellness programs.
