ASPHALT ROLLERS

Volvo DD25 Electric Asphalt Compactor

The new Volvo CE DD25 Electric asphalt compactor is a zero-emissions solution for small-scale compaction projects. The battery-electric, doubledrum machine has 30% more available power than its diesel counterpart, providing improved on-grade performance and operation at high altitudes where naturally aspirated diesel engines lose power.

Sakai SW994ND Vibratory Roller

The SW9994ND oscillatory (OSC)/ vibratory tandem roller provides dual drum oscillation and vibration.

• Enables switching on the fly from vibe for high compaction efforts to OSC for smooth finish of the pavement surface

• Optimized dual drum OSC achieves target density of thin lift pavement (1 to 1.5 in.) in fewer passes

The 24,350-lb. DD110C is powered by a 148-hp Volvo D4 Tier 4 Final engine and features an eight-amplitude drum with a 66-in. width and a high-frequency system that delivers 3,800 vpm. Its redesigned, intuitive onboard display includes an Impact Spacing Meter that allows the operator to control speed and maintain the correct impact spacing for consistent smoothness.

Dynapac CC1300VI and CC1400VI

Both feature high-frequency compaction with a choice between dual frequencies (3,240/2,940 vpm), depending on the conditions and applications.

• Available dual amplitude (0.02/0.007 in.) function provides added flexibility to compact different layer thicknesses, Kubota Tier 4 Final engine with ECO mode

• Optional dual edge pressers, asphalt temperature meter, front right-mounted edge presser/edge cutter, dual front right and left edge presser/edge cutter and rearmounted chip spreader

Dynapac CO5200 VI Oscillation Roller

The CO5200 double-drum roller with oscillation allows the operator to select the system that is most suitable for the application.

• 25,798 lbs oscillation roller

• Drum shell fabricated from Hardox 450 abrasion-resistant steel

• Cummins QSF3.8 IV/T4f engine

• Balanced operating mass for the front and rear modules helps reduce roller marks and deliver a consistently compacted surface

• Can reach ground speeds of up to 7.5 mph

A 9 metric ton vibratory combination compactor that combines the smooth front drum of a soil compactor, with smooth rear tires similar to a pneumatic compactor. In addition, the water spray system utilized on Cat Asphalt Compactors keeps the drum and tires wet for excellent performance on asphalt. It offers outstanding operator comfort while continuing the legacy of durability, reliability and ease-ofservice that contractors worldwide have come to expect from Caterpillar machines.

• Touch pad machine functions enable the operator to fine tune engine speed control, travel speed, and water spray intervals for efficient operation.

• Easily monitor machine operating conditions including; travel speed, vibrations per minute, fuel level, operating temperature, and machine diagnostics. The display is backlit for easy viewing in various lighting conditions.

• The Cat C4.4 engine with ACERT™ technology offers enhanced efficiency, better serviceability, ample power, and less noise. It utilizes the building blocks of ACERT technology in order to meet emission standards. This innovative combination yields cleaner combustion and delivers steady power in all operating conditions with optimal fuel efficiency.

• Eco-mode helps to economize the use of fuel. When the machine idles for a predetermined amount of time, Ecomode is engaged and the engine rpm is lowered. When the propel lever is engaged, higher engine speeds resume. For certain applications, Eco-mode can be engaged to operate the engine at lower rpm than normal. The lower engine speed results in less fuel burn.
