DIVISION 1 MONTROSE: Last week it was off to tackle Norwood and we did not get the results we were hoping for. The U19’s were competitive till half time, but could not sustain the effort and fell short by 5 x goals. Best – Whitchell, Perry Van Rossen & King. The reserves let the opposition get away to a four goal lead at the first break and this proved costly as we outscored them for the remainder of the game, eventually going down by 19 x points. Best – Ekers, Gibb, McArdle & Welsh. The senior’s game was a tight affair all day. At half time we were only four points behind; But with a depleted bench it was always going to be difficult. We tried hard to bridge the gap, but eventually fell short by 4 x points. Best – Vescio, Hore, Goodman & Bell. Let’s make sure we get right behind all 3 x teams today and bring home the wins. Next Friday at the rooms we have our “Parma & Pot” night while watching the Hawks Vs. Roos on the big screen. And on Sat June 25th, we will be holding our always fun iPod night. The very popular Crime Night is back on Sat 30th July featuring Det. Sgt. Ron Iddles and selected guests. Tickets are $80 per head including finger food, beer & wine.
