T H E C R U I S E T E R M I N A L
I love my job! It’s not only about money and numbers. To me, it’s about people and helping them find their place in the world. Many people feel uncertain about money and finance decisions. That’s where I like to make a difference. I have three goals I like to achieve for my clients. My mantra is “Financial Confidence, Security and Direction”. Firstly, the financial confidence to make good decisions. You can do small things each day and year to build confidence and ultimately, financial independence. Secondly, a sense of security around your investment portfolios. At Direct Advisers we build “traditional portfolios”, which stand the test of time. Clients need longevity around their investments, not excitement! 30 years’ experience gives us the knowledge to advise which investments offer most security. This means clients feel secure, knowing we understand their needs and will take action to prepare them for market changes. The third goal is helping clients find the direction they want to take in their lives. Then I can help them navigate through the taxation, superannuation and Centrelink maze. It’s what I love.
Why are you passionate about your work? I love my job! It's very true to say, "Find a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life". I love being able to assist people in their life either with selling one of the biggest assets they will ever have, or buying one of the biggest assets they will ever have! I am so passionate about selling real estate for a number of reasons, but mainly to continue to recreate the way real estate agents have been perceived. Over my six years as a real estate agent, I have met many people who have encountered bad dealings before, and I have cringed listening to just how horrible some of these experiences have been! The worst part is they could of easily been avoided had it been for communication & good buyer qualification. How do you define your business' unique selling point? Wauchope Real Estate focuses purely on listing and selling properties. We are a close team of five agents, and we are all locals. Our team includes Troy McKinnon (Licensee) Michael Debreceny, Natasha Costigan, Kirsty Markezic and myself. Our local knowledge, marketing strategies and determination to provide genuine service to our clients is a testament to our sales ratings. We are the number one selling agency in Wauchope and pride ourselves on maintaining that level of success, paired with good, honest service.
How do you define your business’ unique selling point? We offer something for everyone, from our famous Sunset Fish and Chip Cruise on the Junk to our Friday Winery Tour to Cassegrain’s Winery or our family boom net fun. If you’re lucky, you may even see a dolphin or two swim with the boat. What is the most interesting part of your role? Finding out where my customers come from; we have people cruise with us from all over the world. Why are you passionate about your work? I have the BEST job in Port Macquarie. Being on the water every day and meeting so many fantastic people always makes you feel good about your job. I have fantastic staff, who make my job easy. When people come to us, I want them to feel relaxed and get off the boats with a smile on their face. How do you stay motivated and overcome challenges? I am a positive person, and I move with the times. I’m always thinking of new cruises to offer and am determined to have a successful business. Owning boats always has challenges; I just deal with them when they arise and take them as they come.
