Harry and Gail Stathis have recently purchased the original farmhouse and converted dairy cottage. All these dwellings are located on the beautiful Comboyne Plateau, the only true plateau in Australia, having amazing views looking over the Camden Haven and Manning Valleys all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The property has a range of spas, open fire places, and inground pool set on 10 acres of untouched rainforest. The two couples can now cater for larger groups, including corporate getaways, family reunions and small ceremonies. The Comboyne Hideaway is situated 700 metres above sea level, located on the Lorne Road and surrounded by nature reserves and national parks, yet only 30 minutes from Laurieton and 45 minutes from Port Macquarie via Wauchope and the stunning coast
and beaches of the NSW Mid North Coast. The property consists of The Roundhouse, with two queen size double bedrooms with a spa on the deck overlooking the rainforest to the ocean. The Comboyne Hideaway Mainhouse has four bedrooms, with two bedrooms having their own en-suite, large entertainment area, gourmet kitchen and in-ground swimming pool. Casa Farmhouse has four queen bedrooms and has been fully renovated with a new modern kitchen with a wrap around verandah to take in the magnificent views. The Casa Cottage has three bedrooms, a wide entertaining deck and a timber hot tub. The property is a short scenic drive through cow paddocks to the village of Comboyne, which has all the general facilities - a general store, bowling club, Community Centre, Tourist Information, gift shop and antique wares. BOORGANNA NATURE RESERVE Boorganna Nature Reserve is the second oldest nature reserve in NSW. Boorganna is a 396 hectare reserve, a remnant of the extensive forests that once covered the plateau. There is a delightful picnic area and a 2.7 km walking track that takes you through different forest types down into the valley to view the spectacular Rawson Falls. Vegetation ranges from sub-tropical to eucalypt forest; there is a wide range of fauna and abundant birdlife. BRIDAL VEIL FALLS FLORA RESERVE Bridal Veil Falls Flora Reserve is located on the corner of Comboyne Road and Stennetts Road on the northern side of the plateau. The views to the NW are sublime, as are the views to the NE from the local historic cemetery located nearby. ELLENBOURGH FALLS Ellenbourgh Falls, with a single drop of 200
metres are a spectacular site and the second largest waterfall in the southern hemisphere. The Falls are found by travelling on Tourist Drive 8 from Taree, through Wingham and on to Elands. Features include viewing platforms, picnic and barbecue facilities, a food kiosk which operates on weekends, public holidays and school holidays, toilets and a timber stairway to the bottom of the Falls.
