hat is your role at MSL Property Agency? I am a property consultant and my role at MSL is being involved within the sales department. I will endeavour to provide exceptional service if you are looking to purchase or looking to sell. Were you always interested in real estate, and when did you first get into the industry? I have always had a very keen interest in real estate and have kept an eye on the market over many, many years. I only actually pursued my career in the industry just over two years ago and have never looked back. I have found my “niche”, so to speak. I have resided in the area for almost thirty years now, and I do not have any intention of leaving for quite a while yet. I have always been employed in an environment that has involved dealing with the public, having an administration background that has also included conveyancing, and various sales positions. What advice do you have for people who are looking to buy or sell? To make sure that you are dealing with an agent who provides 100% honesty and clearly listens to your wants and needs. You

I have been in sales for over ten years and have bought and sold some property myself. It is incredibly rewarding when you walk away from a sale and you have made both the vendor and purchaser very happy… Tell us about your background ... I was a fitness instructor for 12 years (and do still have my fair share of fluro lycra in the cupboard). In my late twenties I got into media sales followed by radio announcing and was in that field for 10 years. What advice do you have for people who are looking to buy or sell? Do your research when it comes to choosing an agent. Deal with an agent whom you connect with and can relate to, not one who spins the most jargon. Your house is your biggest asset and you want to

hat is your role at MSL Property Agency? My main role with MSL Property Agency is Customer Service. I am also trained as a Property Consultant. Meeting so many different people makes the job fun and enjoyable. I became a part of MSL in 2013. I had never worked in real estate before and never even thought about it. A position became available with MSL, and I snapped it up. It’s certainly been an enjoyable journey. You are never too old to learn something new. Tell us about your background ... In previous years I was employed as a Teachers Aide with special needs children. The job was very rewarding and special, but change is always exciting. I also own a small sales and marketing agency with my husband, which we run from the North Coast. Can you share advice for anyone considering buying or selling in this market? Be honest to yourself and to others. Do your homework, and

MSL PROPERTY CONSULTANT should also ensure that you have done your own research into buying and selling, so you are up to date with the market. What do you love the most about our region? I love the lifestyle that it has to offer. There are so many different things available to do and so many places to see. We have the coastal attractions (beaches etc.) and also the inland attractions (bush). It is a fantastic environment for raising a family. I think we have the best region in NSW. What do you enjoy the most about your role? I get rather excited when meeting new people and also when I have to attend a home for the first time. I really get down to the nitty gritty and will ask you the ins and outs to ensure I have the correct information about the needs and wants of a client. Can you share advice for anyone considering buying or selling in this market? Now is a fantastic time for buying and even selling in Coffs Harbour and its surrounds. You really need to make sure that you are comfortable with the agent who is selling your asset. Try to be realistic on the price you list your property at, as this will ensure that potential buyers will not be lost.

Definitely the people. I love the fact that when I walk my dogs in the morning or go for a morning run that everyone speaks to me; people are so friendly and often offer a helping hand when I look like I am struggling up a hill. Coffs Harbour is big enough for us all to have our own space, but small enough to still have a sense of community… Teamwork is essential, but what role does your position play in the business? Greg Inglis can’t win a premiership without the bunnies, Michael Clarke can’t win the ashes without the rest of the Aussie cricket team, Lleyton Hewitt can’t win the Davis Cup on his own. Teamwork is everything ... Can you share advice for anyone considering buying or selling in this market? Make sure your agent is working for you, not themselves …
MSL PROPERTY CONSULTANT everything will run smoothly. What do you love the most about our region? Living in the Orara Valley, I love that it only takes us half an hour to get to the beach. From the bush to the beach - too easy! Teamwork is essential, but what role does your position play in the business? Communication is very important with running our business smoothly. Being the first person you see on entering our office, it is essential that I am aware of all our properties and the information regarding them. Clients want to be answered by the first person they speak to. Having the information makes it a lot easier. Our team work really together to make an easy flow with the clients. Can you share advice for anyone considering buying or selling in this market? It’s just a great time to do both at the moment; gut feelings are great - use them! Don’t be scared to ask lots of questions - better to know than not.
