The festivals celebrating the best of world cinema are always impatiently anticipated, starting with the oldest one in the world, the Venice Film Festival, which was first held in 1932. Ten days of projections, parties, press releases, and stars who crowd the legendary Lido in Venice, an area too often snubbed (erroneously) by tourists, but with a great history and captivating in its own right, between architecture, walkways and the beach, which has seen dozens of stars, or aspiring stars, walk on its sands. An immense and prestigious window into the most interesting and important films currently in release. But that’s not all, it’s also a respected venue for cinema stars from across the world to see and been seen. And, still yet, it’s an enormous fashion party. There’s not a single star who doesn’t wear an incredible outfit. And there’s not a single stylist who doesn't want his or her creation worn by the most photographed star in the Laguna. But cinema isn’t only Venice: from the Cannes Film Festival to the Berlinale, to Tribeca Film Festival in New York, all are the most important festivals in the world of cinema. Each year the Cannes Film Festival unfurls its red carpet in the month of May. Among the memories which most represent this festival, there’s the uncontrollable joy of Roberto Benigni in 1998, the outrageous president of the jury Quentin Tarantino in 2004, and the awarding of the prize for best actor to Jean Dujardin by president Robert De Niro in 2011. Every year the French Riviera puts on its best to welcome the Film Festival, and with it the celebrities from across the world who have rushed here to win the favor of producers.

I festival del grande cinema mondiale sono ormai sempre attesissimi, a partire dal più antico del mondo, la Mostra internazionale d'arte cinematografica di Venezia la cui prima edizione risale al 1932. Dieci giorni di proiezioni, feste, conferenze stampa e divi che affollano il mitico Lido di Venezia, luogo troppo spesso (erroneamente) snobbato dai turisti, ma affascinante e di grande storia, tra architetture, passeggiate e la spiaggia, che ha visto passare sulla sua sabbia decine di dive o aspiranti tali. Una immensa, prestigiosa vetrina per i film d’autore più interessanti e belli in circolazione. Ma non solo, anche una passerella di tutto rispetto per i divi e le dive del cinema di tutto il mondo. E, ancora, una enorme festa per la moda. Non c’è stella che non indossi outfit da urlo. E non c’è stilista che non voglia che sia una sua creazione a vestire le divine più fotografate sulla Laguna. Ma cinema non è solo Venezia: dal Festival di Cannes alla Berlinale, passando per il Tribeca Film Festival di New York, ecco i grandi festival del cinema nel mondo. Il Festival Internazionale del Cinema di Cannes ogni anno srotola il tappeto rosso nel mese di maggio. Tra i ricordi che più rappresentano questo festival c’è la gioia incontenibile di Roberto Benigni nel 1998, lo scatenato presidente di giuria Quentin Tarantino nel 2004 e la consegna del premio per la miglior interpretazione maschile a Jean Dujardin da parte del presidente Robert De Niro nel 2011. Ogni anno la Costa Azzurra indossa i suoi abiti migliori per accogliere il Festival del Cinema e con esso le celebrità di tutto il mondo, accorse per solleticare la curiosità dei produttori. 12
