"Is Your Heart Prepared for a King?" In 1993, Robert Lau penned a choral anthem that asks a question and brings a challenge. He asks, "In the quiet of the night, or in morning's early light, is your heart prepared for a King?” The question is right on time in a world that loves to tout its own way instead of surrender to the way of the everlasting King. This is especially true as we approach the third Sunday in November this year which is the last day of the Christian year and thus "Christ, the King Sunday." The Christian year comes to an end by bringing us face to face with THE KING of Kings and Lord of Lords who shall stand in victory upon the earth's last age. "Is your heart prepared for such a King?" But then, the Christian year starts over on the last Sunday of November this year which is the First Sunday in Advent. "Advent," which means "coming" or "arrival" brings us to the manger and the birth of Jesus -- the one who brings peace, joy, hope, and love. There is so much that distracts us from this four-fold impact of the birth of the King. So, as the end of the month approaches let us "Wait! Watch! and Pray!" so that, sure enough, we can answer "yes" when the question comes our way. "Is your heart prepared for a King?"

We have 30 tickets at $12.50 each. You may go on your own or the church will be taking a group on Monday, November 15. Come to the church office to purchase your tickets and to sign up if you want to ride with the church group.
