SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

“One year on from the first report, we feel more determined in our journey towards sustainability. The progress we are making makes the road we are on more solid and the pace towards our goals more certain.

The tools and data available today allow us to quantify results and make increasingly consistent forecasts for improvement. We are increasingly identifying where we need to intervene to integrate the principles of circularity and environmental transition into all internal processes.

We are aware that we are not alone in this journey. We know how important sustainability goals are to those who work with us and those who choose our brand. The innovations we bring to the products, technologies and services we develop are designed to bring the benefits of environmentally responsible cleaning to the outside world.

The year 2023 saw the introduction of two significant product innovations. The first is AQUÆ® technology, which allows cleaning without the use of chemical detergents, exploiting the chlorides already present in water.

The search for systems that reduce the negative impact of cleaning on the environment has been a constant in our history, leading to innovations over the years that have enhanced the sustainable value of our products, and continues to drive us to find ever more revolutionary methods.

The second innovation is the ability to have our machines made of recycled plastic, certified ReMade in Italy. We worked on the project in partnership with our suppliers to achieve a certified circular product. It is an achievement that is a testament to how the value of results and the scope of benefits can be increased by working with like-minded companies.

In addition, we were awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for social, environmental and ethical performance, and the CFO - Carbon Footprint of Organization certification for company-wide greenhouse gas emissions according to ISO 14064-1:2018.

The innovations and certifications that underpin our journey are two aspects of a single vision: growth that puts environmental needs at the center. We want to change the way cleaning is done and offer customers a state-of-the-art and more efficient alternative. We benchmark our progress and demonstrate the reliability of our commitment through international awards. Through these activities, we can also help suppliers, customers and employees achieve their sustainability goals and create a greater positive impact together.

Fimap has always been committed to creating its own products with respect for people and the environment, studying technologies that make the machines high-performance and reliable, so they can do their job well for as long as possible.

After adopting various energy-efficiency policies and directing our production towards machines with increasingly limited impact, the most logical consequence was to talk, seriously and honestly, about what we’ve done, transparently providing the information needed to appreciate Fimap’s impact and how it is addressed – in line with the approach that we have always had.

This is why we have decided to continue to make all our actions publicly available and consultable through the voluntary production of the Sustainability Report - to demonstrate our commitment to our stakeholders.

A fundamental stage of this journey was the Materiality Analysis, which has the main goal of correlating the company’s priorities with those of its stakeholders: as stated in the GRI standards, discussion is required with all who may be affected by the actions and policies adopted.

For Fimap, this aspect represented an important occasion for exchange with its stakeholders: we were able to consider perceptions and perspectives from outside, broadening our outlook and incorporating the new input from external parties into our policies.

The materiality analysis also allowed us to compile a list of Fimap’s material topics, which constitute the foundation for drawing up this Report in accordance with GRI 3 of 2021. Management approved the topics on 6 February 2023.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE

Fimap’s commitment to taking responsibility for and addressing its own impact is not a recent development, but one that has taken place over years, resulting in great awareness of the actions to take to tackle the changes occurring at a global level.

This Sustainability Report has been drawn up in accordance with the “GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards”, published by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in 2021, and it refers to the year 2023 (from 1 January to 31 December), in the same way as the Annual Financial Report.

The Sustainability Report has been drawn up for the second year, and annual publication is envisaged, in keeping with the Annual Financial Report.

The scope of this Annual Financial Report is limited to information on the registered office of Fimap S.p.A.- Via Invalidi del Lavoro 1, Zevio (VR), and the adjacent Logistics Centre located at Via Maestri del Lavoro 22, Zevio (VR), also owned by

Fimap S.p.A.. It therefore reflects the information provided in the Statutory Financial Statements provided by the Company independently as at 31 December 2023. The figures for the other companies belonging to the Tax Group that are included in the Consolidated Financial Statements are instead not taken into consideration, so that the latter are not considered.

INTRODUCING OURSELVES

WHO WE ARE

Fimap is an Italian company, with registered office in Santa Maria di Zevio, Verona, that designs and produces professional floor cleaning machines in Italy and exports to 82 countries worldwide.

The range includes autonomous scrubbing machines, scrubbing machines, sweeper-scrubber machines, sweeping machines, vacuum cleaners, wet & dry vacuum cleaners, spray-extraction cleaners and single disc machines, developed to satisfy every type of cleaning need and equipped with advanced solutions that enable high standards of hygiene to be achieved efficiently.

The story of the company is told through revolutionary intuitions that have given rise to machines and technologies that have helped to open new market segments, promote an advanced cleaning system and reduce environmental impact and the cost per square metre cleaned.

> 1988

Fimap is born

In 1993, Massimiliano Ruffo, the current CEO, took up management of the company and immediately launched a strategy focusing on research into alternative solutions to cleaning needs, fuelled by an enterprising spirit and desire to innovate.

> 2002 Rationalization of the range

Market segmentation was introduced to the cleaning sector for the first time, creating specific product lines for areas of application. This clear inclination to listen to needs was immediately apparent, as well as the ability to interpret them and the desire to stand out through a targeted offering rather than a generic one.

> 2004

The modular Enjoy system

Experimentation with a modular design system for scrubbing machines took place. It was intended to simplify activity connected with use for the end user and to achieve low costs of ownership and great productivity with excellent value for money as well.

> 2006

The new headquarters and Italian Customized Cleaning globally

The new 23,000 sq.m, headquarters is inaugurated, a sign of the strong growth that in just a few years has taken the Fimap brand beyond national borders, to the point where 70% of production is exported. Rapidly winning over foreign markets

drove a desire to stress the value of a product designed and made in Italy. This was summed up in the new Pulito Italiano Personalizzato (Italian Customized Cleaning) slogan.

Arrival of the Genie of small spaces

Genie is the smallest professional scrubbing machine, designed to replace manual, bucket and mop systems and mechanize the cleaning of spaces under 1000 sq.m. With Genie, Fimap effectively created a new market segment.

The Professional Line and Easy Line are born Fimap reorganized the range into two separate main lines with the dual aim of simplifying the offering for customers and optimizing production processes.

> 2010

Fimap Affordable Cleaning

At this point, the market wanted products able to offer a balance of affordability and performance. Fimap offers a range of scrubbing machines that cost just 1 cent to clean 1 square metre, thanks to new technologies developed to eliminate waste and optimize the use of resources. These solutions were one component of the first real environmental strategy, the Sustainable Cleaning Project, which encompassed all innovations directed towards more sustainable cleaning.

> 2011

Fimap Academy

Awareness arose that the path of innovation could not concentrate on the machines alone, but that personnel skills had to develop as well. The Fimap Academy opened, a space for training every professional involved in the industry through specific programmes, from operators and site supervisors to business owners and commercial figures.

> 2012

The first micro-ride-on scrubbing machine is born Fimap launched Mxr, the micro rider, a compact ride-on scrubbing machine that operates in the same spaces where walk-behind models are normally employed. Once more, this enabled a reduction in the cost per sq.m. cleaned. Its particular design earned it the “red dot award: product design 2013”.

> 2013

Fimap reinvents the sweeping machine

The first hybrid-power model is unveiled, the FSR Hybrid sweeping machine. It’s a small ride-on, where the autonomy of the petrol engine meets the clean energy of battery power, for a total autonomy of up to 7 hours.

> 2014

The FLOBOT project

The European Union financed a project to create an autonomous scrubbing machine. The project was entrusted to a pool of specialists involving universities, users and software developers, where Fimap represented the machine’s designer and manufacturer. It ended with the product presentation in 2017.

> 2015

The age of lithium Fimap defied the natural laws of scrubbing machine through the introduction of lithium power supply. Rapid partial charging enabled a switch from single daily operation to constant machine availability. The first lithium-powered models were the smaller ones, perfect for capitalizing on brief operations carried out several times a day. Year by year, the technology was also extended to the larger models.

> 2016

Orbital Technology

Fimap introduced orbital technology to single disc machines and scrubbing machines, enhancing the cleaning action and manoeuvrability, making them extremely versatile in terms of application and reducing water and energy consumption.

> 2018

FFM - Fimap Fleet Management

Fimap proposed a telemetry system that collects data from machines in use and converts it into invaluable information that can be consulted in real time using an app. FFM provides customers with a complete overview of a machine at work, helping to coordinate use, control consumption, optimize times and reduce costs.

> 2019

The first ISO 14067:2018 certified scrubbing machine range in the world

Over the years, Fimap has equipped its scrubbing machines with innovations that have led to increasingly scientific efficiency control. Its effective value in reducing the impact of climate change was finally recognized through international certification.

> 2020

Sanitizer and Disinfector Technology

While the world slowed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, Fimap once again proved itself responsive and prepared: in record time, it developed and released a line of surface sanitization machines that allow rapid and effective operation.

> 2021

Orbitizer

Orbital technology was exploited to produce the smallest professional machine for bringing effective mechanical cleaning to previously inaccessible spaces. It’s a revolution in vehicle cleaning.

> 2022

Fimap launches offsetting with Treebu

The first 30 trees of Fimap Forest were planted in collaboration with the young local company Treebu. The goal is to offset CO 2 generated, creating a green breathing space in the province of Verona.

The new logistics center

A large digitalized logistics centre came into operation next to the main site, enabling optimization of the warehouse processes connected with production and distribution. It will help Fimap’s network of partners to boost sales and aftersales activity with a responsive service that can operate in advance and is ready to act rapidly when required.

The age of robots: CB-1

CB-1 is Fimap’s autonomous technology designed to handle routine cleaning of large floor surfaces, including high-traffic ones, so that specialized staff can attend to more skilled jobs.

ISO 14064-1:2018

Fimap applies the international standard ISO 140641:2018 for the accounting of greenhouse gas emissions at company level, in order to communicate to stakeholders the commitment to reduce negative impacts through targeted and meaningful projects.

The new sustainability technologies

Two major innovations add new impetus to the increasingly sustainable product profile. AQUÆ® technology, which makes it possible to clean without detergent with scrubbing machines by exploiting the chlorides already present in the water, and recycled plastics, integrated in almost all product lines and certified ReMade in Italy.

The most sustainable machines on the market

With new technologies and continuous product updates, product lines are developed with ecological features that are almost unique on the market. This is the case with the EMx scrubbing machine and the FSR7 sweeping machine, featuring recyclable plastics, HEPA filters, CO2 monitoring, lithium-ion batteries and, in the case of the EMx, also AQUÆ® technology for detergent-free cleaning.

FIMAP IN THE WORLD

Over the years, the Fimap network has consolidated exports of our products to 82 countries worldwide. Our main commercial relationships are supported by a large network of foreign operators, qualified managers who follow the various markets on which Fimap sells its machines.

In particular, the commercial office of Fimap France is constantly expanding, by reinforcing reciprocal collaboration and strengthening a network of exclusive regional dealers to meet demand in a targeted, uniform manner throughout the country.

Fimap S.p.A. is a private limited company, with single member. It is owned by Comac S.p.A., of which Fimap is a subsidiary.

Its system of organization comprises the Board of Directors and Board of Statutory Auditors.

The Board of Directors is vested with the broadest powers for the ordinary and extraordinary management of the company. The highest governance body ensures that the company’s mission is understood and applied in line with the values that guide operations. Alongside it, the Board of Statutory Auditors is the supervisory body that guarantees the lawfulness and consistency of the actions taken.

With respect to workplace health and safety and environmental protection, a team has been assembled within the company that deals with supporting the company with all issues. Some members of the same team work together with the social performance team that addresses Fimap’s ethical issues.

With respect to environmental sustainability, on the other hand, a specific area was established, the head of which manages and coordinates all related activities, in line with the company’s goals.

We are also aware of the importance of building and cultivating relationships of trust with customers and suppliers through appropriate conduct, in observance of internal regulations and the law. We share the values that guide our daily business activities and all the related business relationships through our Code of Conduct.

It contains all the fundamental principles that every employee and representative of Fimap must observe, formally stating their acceptance of the Code of Conduct. These principles cover various specific aspects, which are central to appropriate business conduct.

The Code also envisages an anonymous whistle-blowing mechanism: employees may use the notification box in the canteen to report any concerns or actual or suspected code violations.

There is also a dedicated e-mail inbox (whistleblowing.odv@ fimap.com - spt@fimap.com) and flow of operation as envisaged by regulations and summarized in the working papers of the Supervisory Body for compliance with Law 231 and in the company Code of Conduct.

Every Fimap machine is born with the aim of bringing something that was not there before, to reach new possibilities of use and enhance the advantages of professional cleaning. We carefully analyse the market, to identify new applications and new segments for professional machines, changing the traditional cleaning methods to raise the levels of sanitization of the environments, offer more productivity, reduce costs for our customers, reduce the use of resources and make cleaning easier and more effective.

> Autonomous scrubbing machines Fimap’s autonomous technology helps professionals to optimize cleaning in large spaces and increase productivity. While CB-1 carries out the most simple, time-consuming and repetitive task, of cleaning large surfaces, specialized staff can devote their time to more skilled jobs, enabling the company to offer a higher-quality service.

> Performance scrubbing machines

Range with high technological content, inspired by a philosophy built on 7 basic principles: strength, power, safety, simplicity, sustainability, configurability and connectivity. These principles turn into essential characteristics for a new era of professional cleaning, with more control over results and more attention to the environment. It’s the first range of scrubbing machines in the world to have achieved CFP –Systematic Approach certification, in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14067:2018. The state-of-the-art technology promotes advanced performance management that allows the environmental impact to be controlled as well thanks to the FFM – Fimap Fleet Management. They are designed to maintain effectiveness and efficiency over time and guarantee a high residual value, potentially reducing the costs of switching to a new model.

The range presents a variety of effective models for the collection of dust and dirt for both indoor and outdoor areas. Every sweeping machine has unique characteristics that make the activity simple and convenient for users.

> Vacuum cleaners

Commercial vacuum cleaners that guarantee performance and efficiency. They’re versatile and packed with accessories for meeting various cleaning needs. There are models with HEPA filters to filter particulates and powered by lithium batteries for greater mobility without the limitation of a cable.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

To carry out the materiality analysis, Fimap performed exhaustive analysis of its own sustainability context, taking into account its own commercial relations as well as including our stakeholders, both internal and external. Stakeholder engagement represents a particularly fundamental element of Fimap’s Sustainability Report, essential for gathering input to configure the materiality analysis correctly.

Stakeholders were initially consulted through a survey, before proceeding to a number of direct interviews. We decided to involve this method of active stakeholder

engagement to investigate the topics proposed in the survey in depth: the value added of this method is in-depth qualitative analysis, which provides subjective data and enables an opportunity for open exchange of information with the affected party. It’s an opportunity that allowed us to identify a great deal of agreement with respect to the key priorities that a leading company in this sector must manage.

RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS OUR AREA

We’ve always had a strong connection to the area where we operate and produce. This is the reason why in 2022 we began collaborating with Treebu, a benefit corporation that plants Paulownia trees, involving various companies in processes of sustainability and environmental impact reduction in Italy through various certified projects in our area.

Specifically, we chose a company that plants trees in our area, contributing to the creation of a forest in the province of Verona. In partnership with Treebu, we have planted our first 30 Paulownia trees, aiming to create a green area that flourishes as we do. Paulownia trees can absorb up to 10 times more CO2 than any other tree, a factor that makes it an effective solution in promoting balance between the company’s growth and respect for the environment in which we live.

In the decades to come, our trees will continue to offset emissions and, as we gradually expand, the tons of CO2 captured will increase over time as well.

Various technologies are available for reducing water consumption, use of detergents (FSS – Eco Mode - AQUÆ®) and recycling cleaning solution (FLR).

Plastic is the most commonly used material in the production of cleaning machines. In an effort to reduce its impact on the environment, Fimap has launched a project to recover waste plastic and reuse it, transforming it from waste into a resource. During 2023, the economy showed signs of recovery, although the machinery manufacturing sector was characterized by a slight downturn that affected most companies in the Italian market.

The company followed the national trend, with profitability increasing in some areas of the world and decreasing in others.

It faced numerous challenges related to uncertain raw material costs and supply difficulties.

Generally speaking, the latest year should be considered as positive overall in terms of Fimap’s performance, despite the loss of profitability mentioned. The company succeeded in maintaining its market share, and in certain geographical areas even increased it.

In addition, thanks to the collection of data and information for conducting the materiality analysis, we identified that approximately 40% of our spending on suppliers is made in the province of Verona.

Reducing the costs of cleaning by optimizing the use and control of resources is one of the central goals that we have set for ourselves as a company: we are aware of the importance of managing our cleaning processes efficiently and using available resources responsibly.

We invest in training our operators, so as to ensure their awareness of cleaning best practices and that they use resources appropriately.

At the same time, we are committed to monitoring our processes and we carry out analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions. As we’ll see later on in this document, we invest in assessing the environmental impact of our products. Implementing the new FSS - Fimap Solution Saver technology means that water and detergent are dosed separately: in this way the machine uses only the necessary amount of water and the correct percentage of detergent according to the type of dirt to be removed, avoiding waste and the use of excessive amounts of solution which then can be difficult to remove.

The FLR - Fimap Long Range water recycling system increases the productivity per operation, because the stops required for emptying and refilling the tanks are reduced and more sq.m. can be scrubbed using the same load of detergent solution. This reduces water and detergent consumption per operation and safety for the operator, who come into less contact with the chemical.

ELECTROLYTIC REACTOR

AQUÆ® technology is the latest innovation that allows cleaning with water alone, without the use of chemical detergents. It uses the properties of the chlorine naturally present in water, which is activated and transformed into a hypochlorous acid solution, whose oxidizing action naturally dissolves dirt without the need for a detergent. It is a technology that is not only safer, but also more natural, eliminating all the environmental impact of detergents and the pollution of wastewater with surfactants.

Within the Company too, we are aware of and pay attention to how we use water. Although Fimap’s water withdrawals are not for productive activities, we have decided to implement internal policies to reduce water consumption.

REMOVAL

RECYCLED PLASTICS

Working with its suppliers, Fimap has created from scratch a recycled material for its own exclusive use, certified “Second Life Plastic”, which guarantees the same robustness and reliability as virgin plastic. This was a bold and unprecedented initiative.

Entrepreneurship rewarded with ReMade in Italy certification, which acknowledges the value of the product within a circular economy model, the transparency of the process and its innovative footprint.

Recognized in Italy and throughout Europe, it certifies the amount of recycled material used, providing a considerable competitive advantage in tenders.

In Italy, it fulfills the requirement of the CAM reward criteria on the presence of recycled parts for at least 15% of the total weight of the plastic, favoring the achievement of the best possible technical score on the machines.

Recycled plastic is used by Fimap for the tanks of scrubbing machines, the rotating parts of sweeping machines and the drums of vacuum cleaners for solids and liquids.

The machines are characterized by their black color, the only color capable of giving uniformity to a material that, when recycled, is composed of polymers of different origins and therefore of different colors.

At the heart of the project is a re-evaluation of processes aimed at improving the resources used in production and limiting the use of new resources by reusing those already available.

The aim is to participate in a change that protects the future and provides environmentally sustainable alternatives through more efficient dynamics that minimize waste and reduce emissions.

ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND ITS OPTIMIZATION

In terms of electricity consumption, in 2023, a 610 kW photovoltaic system was installed with an output of 553,427 kW, reducing the consumption of electricity purchased from the grid. The aim is to continue to increase self-produced energy and to be self-sufficient.

ATMOSPHERIC EMISSIONS. COMMITMENT TO FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE

Among the various initiatives that we have decided to adopt, first of all is promoting responsible use of resources, and the commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our products over their entire life cycle.

We want to actively contribute to safeguarding the planet by offering eco-friendly and efficient products, where every new project can be an opportunity to improve the product and its impact on the environment, from the beginning to the end.

In line with this approach, we have performed LCA studies for a whole family of machines. The Life Cycle Assessment methodology allows us to analyse and obtain data on the emissions from a product in all phases of its production from raw materials to final disposal, from the perspective of the complete life cycle.

In particular, these studies were used to calculate the Carbon Footprint of Product, or CFP, in accordance with the ISO 14067:2018 standard. The CFP describes the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) that a product generates during its life, from

when it is built and while it is used until its disposal. The resulting amount is the global impact of the product considered on climate change.

In detail, the machines in Fimap’s Performance range have obtained CFP – Systematic Approach certification of the procedure for calculating the quantity of CO2e emitted over the entire life cycle for machines in a single family. It means that we are able to provide real data that describes the CO2e impact of our scrubbing machines for every hour worked.

In 2023, we subjected our company-wide greenhouse gas emission values to third-party verification. The Carbon Footprint of Organization is based on the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018 and enables the calculation and understanding of the distribution of emissions along the entire value chain, without being limited to the Fimap factory.

Quantification at organizational level is the first step in establishing serious decarbonization policies that affect the entire company, before signing up to international programmes or future policies in the direction of carbon neutrality.

The emissions are divided into the 6 categories envisaged by the standard below: it is immediately evident that the vast majority of climate impact is indirect, deriving both from the products used

(raw materials) and the products made by the organization (in particular, from their envisaged use for cleaning).

These studies make Fimap’s commitment to action on climate change more concrete. Thanks to them, the company stands out from its competitors, presenting itself as a beacon and guide in the sector to the trends to be addressed in the future. This aspect also represents a value added in public tenders, where there is an

increasing trend of rewarding companies who have carried out serious quantification studies.

With respect to the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory moreover, it is also important to stress that ISO 14064-1 is not only compliant with the GRI standards, but in line with the future CSRD of the European Union: with a more ambitious scope of application, it pushes companies to investigate Scope 3 emissions, those outside the company.

In organizations like Fimap, where production activity represents only a small part of consumption, it is even clearer how stopping at the factory gates doesn’t give a real picture of the impact on climate change and how it is instead necessary to investigate what happens upstream and downstream of production.

WASTE MANAGEMENT AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Our commitment also extends to waste management. We strive to raise the level of recyclability of our machines and to ensure they have a long life cycle. We also study packaging in order to reduce its volume and optimize the amount of transport,

thus contributing to a reduction in emissions. The data show a reduction in waste production compared to the previous year: this was due to the full operation of the logistics center, which allowed the creation of a stock of different materials and a consequent reduction in packaging. Cardboard packaging, used for transporting polyethylene tanks, is also reused and returned to suppliers for new materials. Waste

The ordinary management and disposal of waste are accompanied by some significant initiatives. Product life cycle analysis allows us to determine the content of material recycled, and is accompanied by a project to recover and reuse waste plastic, transforming it from waste into a resource.

Another initiative concerns the recyclability of our products, and their correct disposal at end of life by end consumers. Our Recycling Manual provides instructions for customers to promote correct recycling of the machines. Inside the manual you can find the descriptions of all the materials used and the opportunities for their reuse thanks to correct disposal.

That’s why we are committed to ensuring ethical conduct towards employees every day, respecting their freedom and their rights, and creating a balanced environment of reciprocal respect where growth and continuous improvement are fostered.

and from developing individual abilities and skills to promoting the talents of all.

In order to monitor the data on trends among employees, the Human Resources (HR) department acquired a dedicated management system, from which analytical statistical data is drawn.

The data included in the Sustainability Report were collected using the FTE – full time equivalent – methodology at 31/12/2023, i.e. the end of the reporting period.

There are no particular changes to report: although there was no increase in production, the number of employees rose from 175 to 178.

TRAINING, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT2

Training is one of the activities that is fundamental for Fimap Whether it’s internal, to upgrade the skills of employees continuously, or external, by developing dedicated tools available to customers, we believe that it is beneficial to encourage this process of continuous improvement and building up knowledge.

Internal training for employees is in a management update phase. The main goal that the HR department has set for itself is to create a training pathway which is shared at company level, so that the learning goals are clear for each category of employee, and the progress achieved by each employee is monitored.

Most of the training hours are delivered to the manual workers, though the other categories of employee are also well covered in terms of training.

Fimap’s internal training is divided into three main types: technical training, mandatory training and safety training. Among these, the one with most coverage is mandatory training.

On the one hand, it becomes imperative to be skilled accordingly to understand what is required and to master regulations and certifications, on the other, it is essential to use intelligent machines, capable of exploiting the benefits of modern technology and becoming, in addition to a practical help, also a source of information.

In this scenario, external training becomes a valuable tool, which allows professionals to be competitive, to stand out among all the other cleaning services. For this reason, Fimap has created a school, the Fimap Academy, which provides training courses for all the figures in the cleaning sector, retailers, technicians, operators and contractors, offering specialized courses to each one.

Topics such as site analysis, costs and operational needs are examined, along with the requirements of the regulations in force and the ways to respond to them. The training plan includes courses dedicated to in-depth analysis of services related to machines, and their relevance in the site management, such as telemetry and correct interpretation of data.

Environmental issues are among the subjects explored, with particular attention to the collection of information on the on-site impact of machines and on the options for improvement. For technicians and operators, courses are also available on the use of technologies and innovations on the latest generation machines, on maintenance activities and on the management of technical assistance.

All these services allow skills for the best use of our machines to be developed, optimizing their functions and contributing to a reduction in unnecessary consumption. Investing in training the people who will use our machines ensures safety, better results, reduced consumption and lower operating costs.

Breakdown by age instead shows that more than half of employees are in the 30–50 bracket. The same trend can be observed among manual and office workers, whereas the management categories are completely made up of over-50s.

Fimap has established an employee welfare benefits system, which undertakes to ensure equitable treatment for all employees, irrespective of the type of contract or working hours. There are no differences in how part-time and full-time employees are treated, taking hours worked into account of course.

In terms of company benefits, we meet the requirements of the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL). This includes welfare through the allocation of vouchers for purchasing goods and services. We also offer employees the chance to join Metasalute for mandatory contributions and Fondo Cometa for supplementary pension.

With respect to parental leave, we follow the provisions contained in the CCNL, recognizing the importance of allowing employees to balance work and family commitments. To date, there is no supplement to the mandatory arrangements.

In any case, Fimap’s employee welfare benefits are based on an equitable and inclusive approach which is compliant with regulations: we offer a series of benefits to guarantee well-being and the safety of our employees, ensuring that they are also supported by the national social security system.

ETHICS AND INTEGRITY

Ethics and integrity are fundamental principles that guide our actions and decisions, and we are committed to maintaining high standards in all phases of our activity, both internally and externally.

This is why we have adopted a company Code of Conduct. This document represents our commitment to promoting a culture based on honesty, integrity and reliability. It establishes the fundamental principles and policies that all employees are required to observe. To further guarantee this, we ensure that all people who operate in the Fimap environment – including directors, suppliers, contractors and consultants – conduct themselves accordingly and formally declare that they have read and understood the Code and undertake to comply with it.

As already advised, the company Code of Conduct also features a mechanism for reporting offences and violations of the Code by the employees. This mechanism provides a further guarantee of Fimap’s commitment to transparency.

Fimap has always been committed to guaranteeing the protection of workers’ health through specific procedures, investments and continuous training. As also highlighted in the company Code of Conduct, the technical design of workplaces, equipment and processes is planned with the highest level of compliance with current occupational health and safety regulations.

We are committed to providing periodic and documented training on health and safety in the workplace, with particular attention to new hires and workers who change department. We also guarantee access to clean toilet facilities and drinking water, and hygiene equipment for storing food will also be provided if necessary.

In confirmation of these commitments, as early as 2020 we achieved ISO 45001:2018 certification, a recognized international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.

Transparency and communicating commitments are fundamental values for us at Fimap. We are committed to open, transparent communication with all stakeholders, including our employees, customers, suppliers and the community in general.

We understand the importance of sharing information about our policies, practices and commitments concerning sustainability and social responsibility. We maintain constant dialogue with our network through various methods of communication including meetings, events, newsletters and our online communication channels.

Through these channels, we provide regular updates on our initiatives, on the measures adopted to reduce environmental impact, on responsible supply chain management and other relevant questions. We are committed to providing clear and comprehensible information, so that our entire network can have a complete overview of our commitments and the progress we have made.

We also actively encourage feedback and interaction with stakeholders. We welcome the opinions, questions and concerns of our stakeholders, proceeding to consider them as opportunities for improvement. We recognize that two-way communication is essential to building solid, long-lasting relations.

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PIÙ DI UN SOGNO FOUNDATION

Fimap’s commitment extends to the local communities, helping those in difficulty to find opportunities for self-fulfillment and integration into society.

The Più di un Sogno Foundation is based in Zevio, as is Fimap, and promotes the employment of people with intellectual disabilities. Among the Foundation’s many activities, the ethical brand Valemour was selected, whose Good Food offers catering and dark kitchen services to companies for food delivery.

Fimap ordered 300 Sbrisolà cakes, which it included in its Christmas gift to employees. On the one hand, it has contributed to a social enterprise project that encourages young people to find a path to professional achievement, and on the other hand, it has highlighted the work of a local foundation that provides the most vulnerable with the tools to integrate into the community, emphasizing the value and importance of inclusiveness. The intention is to continue to support the Foundation in the future and to launch new joint projects.
