WHEN USING COUNCIL’S OFF-LEASH AREAS, PLEASE ENSURE:
RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP • Make sure you register your pet with Fairfield City Council. Registering your pet and keeping your records updated assists in the return of your pet to you if it is ever lost. Registration can be done online at www.petregistry.nsw.gov.au, over the phone or in person. Visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au for details. A one-off lifetime fee applies. • Please consider desexing your dog to avoid unwanted litters of puppies. • Make sure your dog is kept on a lead whenever in public, and is being controlled by a responsible and able person. This is for the safety of the public and your dog. • Please clean up after your dog when in public or at our dog parks. Please take any dog droppings with you or dispose of them in a bin. Fines apply for not doing so. • Take your dog out for regular exercise to ensure it remains fit and healthy. It is also a great way to improve your own health!
Your dog is under the effective control of a competent person (maximum 4 dogs allowed per person). Your dog will return to you when called. Your dog is not a nuisance to other dogs or their owners. Dogs declared menacing, dangerous or a restricted breed, are prohibited in off-leash areas. Owners are liable under legislation if their dog attacks a person or animal. Dogs must be on a lead when outside the off-leash parks. Please leave your dog droppings in the bins provided and close the gate properly when entering or leaving the off-leash enclosures. No smoking and no alcohol is permitted in Council parks. For enquiries or to report damage please call 9725 0222.
