Symphony Ball Dubbed “The Super Ball” for its 57th Year PEOPLE • PLACES • PARTIES

Photos by Stephanie E. Jennings The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild held the 57th Symphony Ball, “Masterpiece,” on Oct. 23 in the North Hall of the Von Braun Center, where 58 young women, from both the 2020 and 2021 debutante classes, were presented. The venue was transformed by Charlotte Wessel of Buckets and Blooms. She crafted elaborate chandeliers of greenery and incorporated the 2020 rose, “Shimmer,” and the 2021 rose, “Faith,” in urns and topiaries on each table.

Dr. Ken Rivenbark served as Master of Ceremonies. Following the formal presentation and traditional waltz by the debutantes and presenters, dinner was served. Mark Jaeger was the official Ball photographer. A photo booth was available for fun pictures to share and post to social media. Guests danced the night away until midnight, to the sounds of The Craig Duncan Orchestra. The 2020-2021 Symphony Ball was truly a night to remember. Kim Johnson, 2020 Chair, and Cathy Scholl, 2021 Chair, expressed their thanks for the Herculean efforts that were made by everyone on their committee and for all of the support and encouragement given by the entire Guild, the debutante families, and the community at large. n
