SCHOOL NEWS FROM SPAIN, CEIP MARINA DE CUDEYO OUR SCHOOL: CEIP MARINA DE CUDEYO CEIP Marina de Cudeyo is a Primary Public school in Rubayo, Cantabria, Spain.

It has approximately 350 students and 30 teachers.

SCHOOL PROJECTS: Our school is the coordinator of our Erasmus Plus project KA219 "Eurokids 24 News", in order to create an European school radio, newspaper and news communication channel.

Apart from that we are developing the project "Educacion Responsable" from Botin Foundation from Banco Santander, which is focused on applying our students emotional intelligence into their school work and life.

Our school is also involved in projects for our School Library, New Technologies, TV production and many more.

SCHOOL FACILITIES The most important school facilites at our school are: ­ Our football courts. ­ A basketball court. ­ A putt­in­green area. ­ The green field and trees area. ­ Our sports centre. ­ Our new rock climbing wall.

Soon we are planning to have a renovated school library which will be in the shape of a laberynth, and where students will be able to read books on the floor and leave the library going up the round stairs and going down through a slide.

SCHOOL NEWS FROM ROMANIA, COLEGIUL NATIONAL Evrika On 26th and 28th October 2018, at the "Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci" National College in Brăila, "Evrika" was held. "Evrika" is a well­ known national Physics contest in Romania.

Also, one of our colleagues, also part in the Erasmus 24 News project participated. His Name is Popa Gabriel and he is in the 7th grade. He was guided by Mr. Ouatu and won the second prize. Congratulations!

Math Competitions In October, three major math competitions were held. All students of the school who attended received prizes or mentions. The results were the following. For the Mathematical Danube Competition (juniors), held in Călărași on the 28th October 2018, Dumitrescu Matei, who is the 8th grade received the silver medal. For the Ion Barbu ­ Dan Barbilian contest, also held in Călărași, on the 28th October 2018, all four participants from the 5th and 6th grade got mentions.

Finally, five contestants got mentions and one received the 3rd prize in the Cristian Calude competition (juniors), held in Galați this time, on the 21st October. Congratulations!

Basketball contest A local basketball contents will be held on Saturday, 3rd November, at 12 o'clock. Two teams, each representing two schools, the National College and Wurmbrand, will compete against each other. Our school's team consists of 10 players aged 11 and 12, which were guided by our school's PE teacher, Mr. Cosoi. Players in both teams are under 14 and the competition will take place at school nr.22 in Iași. We wish them the best of luck!

The autumn ball As our school tradition, an autumn ball will take place this month, on 15th November.

There will be fun activities and lots of music. It will be organized in our gym which will be decorated in order to match the autumn colors. I'm sure everyone who will come to this ball with have an amazing time.

SCHOOL NEWS FROM ROMANIA, COLEGIUL NATIONAL Erasmus 24 News Starting from Monday, November 12th and until Friday, November 16th, students and teachers from Spain, Bulgaria, Poland and France will come to Romania to spend a week at the National College. During this time, we will exchange impressions over school, we will work together on different activities and we will get to know each other. Also, they will visit our city and its historical monuments. I look forward to meeting and talking with everyone and I hope that we will leave a good impressions on them. Hopefully, they will start loving Iași and the National College as much as we do.

Dancing time : no lessons but Dancing "Last week we danced for the day with a professional dancer. We enjoyed it a lot. The dancer was nice we discovered a lot about our body I loved everything except the music" Mélanie.

"I really loved the dancing time because my brain and my body worked we had to remember the movement. We had Bluetooth headphones on and we listened to the orders of the dancer who told us what to do" Déhlia.

I loved it because it was different of what I usually dance, but I didn't like the music" Flora.

Fashion Autumn In October and November our style changes.

For example, we wear new sweaters, trousers, coats scarves, and shoes etc In Autumn, our body needs heat so we must wear hotter clothes. The style "street wears" is very fashionable in Autumn in France. Teenagers love sweaters oversize and a shoes. In 2018 the colors of clothes are brown, black, navy blue they are dark colors. The fashion for hair is short, and the trend of shoes is boots. Especially cow boy boots.

In autumn there are long coats to protect from the wind.

Autumn : the landscape is different I live in the mountains in France.

The mountains are high and around the school. We can see them. We also see the colors orange in Autumn. Also the nature changes it is red and yellow in Autumn, and the leaves fall There is Gold in thetrees and some trees are dead. I love it. But days are shorter and nights arelonger. I don't like it. There is Halloween and cold winds . Turn on the light the radiators. Warm clothes appear, the summitsare white now, and the cows can't go up they are back.

Last Summer, the trees had beautiful green colors. It was very hot. The sky was really blue. We could pick the flowers. I could see birds in the blue sky.Now the sky is very cloudy.In June, there was a blue sky. There were multicolor flowers and the sun was very brilliant. There were birds who sang in the sky. The field were green. There were also too mosquitoes!!! Today, it is Autumn , there is a Grey sky. There is snow on the mountains.There is clouds and it is raining BRRRRR. The trees have no more leaf.

It is very popular in Savoy especially with tourists. It is melted cheese on potatoes. You boil potatoes and you melt cheese with a special machine. POLAND: Back to school after holidays

A school year in Poland starts on 1st September.I'm in the sixth grade now. We have a new English teacher. When we returned to school, everyone was sad that it was the end of the holiday. A radio station has appeared in our school,there are various announcements and information.In the first week of September there was a music concert.

In September, I was on the film "303 Squadron". I liked it very much. We went to the cinema in Zielona Góra. The film was about war and history. It tells about Polish airmen who fought abroad with enemies of Poland and Great Britain.

We also had a nature workshop. I really liked it. The man talked about animals living in the woods.

My school is quite small, there are about 200 students and 20 teachers coming every day, learning and teaching.

There are classes from 0 to 8.

There are many rooms, such as: audiovisual room, computer room, playroom, secretary's office and teacher's room.Outside there are two playgrounds and a gym, where we enjoy spending our breaks in a fun way.

We also have an interesting history behind. Our school is located in a palace which was built in the 19th century and, once upon a time, our king lived here.

Autumn changes in landscape

In the autumn, there are very big changes in nature. It is a period in which everything that lives, prepares for the arrival of winter chill. For people it is also the time of harvesting labor.The world around us begins to sparkle with all the shades of green, brown and red. Leaves begin to fall from the trees, which rustle underfoot during walks in the woods or in the park. Children collect chestnuts and acorns falling from the trees. The rowan bunches grow in parks. Between the branches of trees and shrubs stretch the threads of "summer's", on which evening dew sets. In the flower beds and in the backyard gardens, asters, zinnia and velvets bloom. You can create fabulously colorful bouquets from them.

Collecting potaoes is taking place in the fields. In the autumn sky, we can observe flocks of birds departing to warm countries. The sun is now earlier, the temperature during the day is much lower than in the summer and the mornings and evenings are already cold.

The first autumn windstorms begin.The change of the season affects the mood of people adversely. They are more often drowsy and thoughtful. But after full work in spring and summer, they can rest in the winter, until next year.

Polish pumpkin cream soup

Ingredients: * 1,4 kg pumpkin flesh * onion * carrot * 2 cloves of garlic * 2 tablespoons of butter * a glass of apple jiuce * 3 cubes of broth * nutmeg * ground cinnamon * sugar * Cayenne pepper and black pepper * peas

Preparation: Peel the onion and garlic. Chop.

Add the butter to the pan and add the previously chopped ingredients.

Add the finely chopped carrot and sliced ​​pumpkin. Pour apple juice and enough water to completely cover the pumpkin. Add the broth cubes. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce fire and simmer for about 35 minutes (until the pumpkin is soft).

Mix the vegetables in decoction.

Season with salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.Add the prepared soup in a bowl. Decorate each portion with peas and parsley.

News from Poland: A school party

Recently in our school there was a disco. It was organised on the name day of Saint Andrew. On that day people in Poland make parties, tell fortune and simply enjoy the last chance to have fun before Advent. Everyone had a very good time at the party. The fun lasted 4 hours. There was a very nie atmosphere. There was a shop, toasts, hot dogs, waffles and fries. There were also fortune­telling, tattoos, The queue was so long that it went through the whole corridor. There was a great music. Students had a lot of fun with it. Everyone found something for himself. The party was prepared by the student self­government.

Clothes In our school we don't have to wear uniforms. We wear the clothes that we want we. Only for special occasions we wear smart clothes like a skirt and a white blouse for girls and boys wear elegant trousers and white shirts.

When it gets a litte cooler, we have to dress warmer clothes, for example, long warm trousers and blouses. We are glad that we do not have to clothes assigned by the teacher.

Weather in the autumn Autumn days are cloudy, it often rains and the wind is strong, and sometimes moderate rain is short and quickly gets dark.

LOCAL NEWS FROM ROMANIA, COLEGIUL NATIONAL The center of attention is, as usual, the Chrysanthemums. These beloved autumn flowers started as a small plantation in the Garden with only 3 types, but throughout the years, the diversity expanded­and so Iasi ended up with a 380­species exposition of these flowers, 59 of them being discovered by the botanists working here.

Some of the plants even come from Africa!

DROPS OF COLOUR After two wonderful autumn months, with colorful leaves and sunny afternoons, it's time for the new, Autumn Flowers Exposition in Iasi to begin.

This event is one of the city's most attractive tradition, and it's been organized for 42 years­imagine 42 years of l a r g e , b e a u t i f u l Chrysanthemums! During the exposition, visitors can enjoy a totally new experience because the Botanic Garden, which is actually organizing the activity, decided to dedicate this year's moments to Romanian Centenary, so more exciting surprises have been added.

What's new in 2018 is the presence of over 100 types of fruits and seeds with historical importance­people in Romania of the past used them as medicine or in religious rituals. If you are willing to go see them, take your time and look closer at the legends attached to them­they might be worth it! After that, there are a lot of peppers, including Carolina Reaper, world's most peppery one! And if you are a vegetable lover, then lots of other species are waiting for you, such as red tomatoes and potatoes.

And talking about traditions...EVERYBODY will love the pumpkin section, which looks like a small Halloween party! It contains supposedly delicious examples, such as the "Vegetal Insulin" from South America and Asia. And in the end, visitors are invited to look at the cabbage section, whose leaves' colors turn more and more beautiful as it gets colder.

The Annual Assembly of Romanian Airports in Iasi For two days, Iasi was the host of the largest civil aviation event in Romania. Specialists in the industry gathered at the 26th Annual Conference and General Assembly Meeting to discuss mainly about the civil aviation development in the next 10 years. The work sessions were held at the Palace of Culture, an emblematic historical place in Iasi. Over 150 guests participated in the annual meeting ­ general managers of airports, specialists in civil aviation industry from Romania and abroad, representatives of state institutions with airport safety and security attributions, airlines operating in Romania, aeronautical support companies, local and central authorities.

"It has been a great honour for us to host an event of this magnitude, and we are so glad to have the opportunity to value Iasi city, seen both as a historical and cultural mark in Eastern Europe, but also a potentially significant development area. Totally unique, in the Centenary year, the capital of Moldavia region has brought to the same table all the "actors" needed in the aviation industry. During the meeting in Iasi, the future of civil aviation was intensily debated by the participants. We started being increasingly concerned about this issue as airport development has a decisive role in increasing the well­being of underserved communities", said Cătălin Bulgariu, General Director of Iasi International Airport.

REGIONAL NEWS FROM IASI, ROMANIA

Statistics show that by 2035, the traffic in Romania will reach about 48 million passengers. In the context of this significant increase, the specialists coming to Iasi talked mainly about the need to develop airport infrastructure and identify European funding paths for further investment.

David Ciceo, President of Romaninan Airports Association, explained that "No airport in the country currently has sufficient processing capacity, so they (airports) need to find relevant resources to finance infrastructure development. On the other hand, when it comes to services, Romanian airports have already reached an international standard. They comply with international regulations, yet they need to double their capacity under terms of traffic evolution over the European average. As a matter of fact, aviation is the only industry in the country to fit perfectly with the European standards.

A relevant example of spectacular traffic increase is Iasi International Airport, which has achieved a new performance, reaching the one­million threshold earlier this year. According to the management of Iasi Airport, "the traffic has evolved at an accelerated pace, from 200.000 passengers annually 5 years ago, to over 1 million at present. This forces us to increase our processing capacities as quickly as possible, by expanding the platform up to 15 parking areas and building a much larger terminal, capable of sustaining a traffic of 4 million passengers per year".

Well, I thought I would not show you all the trivial news you see every day on television, radio, etc, and that you got bored with. NATIONAL NEWS FROM ROMANIA With 5 lei, we can get something to crumble at 3 lei, and with the rest we can get some coffee. Even if Iasi did not win the title of Cultural Capital, the city of the seven hills is among the tourists' favourites. Last year, the county was visited by over 12 million people from all over the world.

With a budget of 5 lei, we make the first stop at the Botanical Garden in Iasi. We're in the amount, because it's just costing an adult ticket.

Children, students and pensioners pay only three lei.

A DAY TRIP TO ALTO CAMPOO SKI RESORT On February 2018 Year 6, 5 and 4 Spanish students went on a school trip to ski to Alto Campoo Ski Resort, one hour away from our school.

Weather was not very nice that day but we enjoyed a lot the activity and can't wait to GO BACK!!
