Your offer explained If you’re reading this that means you have had your interview, congratulations! You will have been made a conditional or unconditional offer. This is what that means…

Unconditional offer Wow! Well done. This means you have already met our entry requirements so we will see you in September!

Conditional offer This means you have been accepted to study here at NETA Training providing you achieve the required course entry requirements. If you do not achieve these grades, don’t worry! We will still have a course for you. Speak to our admissions team, who will chat to you about your options.

Referral Don’t worry! All this means is that the course you applied for was unsuitable. The college will contact you to find a suitable alternative course.


WHAT’S NEXT? BKSB Assessments Once you’ve had your interview, you will be asked to complete some short BKSB tests online. These tests are nothing to worry about, we are just checking if you need any extra help with your maths and English.

Easter Taster Session On Wednesday 10th April 2024 we’re holding our annual taster sessions. Come along and join in the fun!

Summer Event You are invited to our Summer Event at NETA Training on Saturday 6th July 2024 from 11am-2pm. Along with our dedicated and friendly staff on hand to answer any questions you might have, you can take a tour of our fantastic facilities, meet your new classmates, chat to your instructors and grab a bite to eat but most importantly relax and have fun before your start with us in September.

Enrolment Enrolment for new students will begin in August 2024. You will be sent a letter confirming a date and time for you to attend the college to enrol.


Instructor Brian, JMAC Scaffolding Ltd apprentice Louie and Operations Director Ryan Payne in our NETA scaffolding centre. Louie won Apprentice of the Year at the NASC Awards 2022.

Charlotte won Best Practical Welding Student award at The Welding Institute Teesside annual awards dinner!

Apprentice Aaron was named ECITB Scholar of the Year at an exclusive awards ceremony at the National Science Museum in London. He also picked up Welding Apprentice of the Year at The Welding Institute Teesside annual awards dinner!


Did you know you can apply to receive financial support during your studies with NETA Training! will be invited to fill out a bursary application to determine if you are eligible. Apply online through the College website using the following link: https://apply.the-etc. ac.uk/bursary/

You will need to first enter your student number and date of birth. When entering your student number, please replace the 0 at the start of the number for a capital B. Please note: If you have not yet enrolled at College and do not have a student number, you will need to wait until you are given one by our Admissions Team.

Make sure your personal details are correct and press continue to proceed through the application, making sure you answer all questions.

Please provide valid bank details when applying, as this will help us to speed up any payments due. If you don’t have an account we can use a guardian/parent in the short term.

Provide income/benefits evidence by following the instructions on the screen.

To complete your application please read the declaration and sign with your name at the end, then press continue. You will receive a thank you message at the end.

Please note: You can choose to submit an application without financial evidence, however this will not be fully assessed.

TRAVEL... Bus

We have a bus stop on Portrack Lane which is just a 5 minute walk to NETA Training! In addition to this, NETA Training is across the road from both McDonalds and Greggs! All students can access free bus travel to and from college during term times. Please note there is a £5.00 administration charge per term for students travelling by bus. To find out which bus you should get, visit www.traveline.info.

FREE BUS TRAVEL

Did you know that we have partnered with Arriva North East and Stagecoach to offer all our full-time students unrestricted* bus travel across Teesside for FREE!** Our Bursary Team will be in touch in July when our bursary applications open to allow you to apply for your bus pass and other specialist learner support funds. *If travelling with Stagecoach, weekend travel is not included. You will be charged to use the transportation on weekends and during holidays, but this would be offered at a discounted rate. **Unrestricted free travel is only offered to 16-18 students who are on a full-time course. All other students must be eligible for bursary.
