Taking interior design to new heights The combination of an exciting designer duo and an elegant location has resulted in 63 new homes that bring the "wow" factor, have character, and are chock-full of surprises – welcome to Bygdøy Allé 53!
H
istoric elegance, a unique atmosphere, fused with modern elements" is a good way to describe Bygdøy Allé 53–formerly Frogner House Hotel Norum, which is now clearly re-emerging in the spirit of Frogner House. In their familiar style, they take classical details and put a modern twist on them. Fashionable embellishments and chateau patterns mingle with exclusive textiles. This is a result of a close co-operation between interior architect Alexandra Hegard who has her own company, and interior designer Camilla Gjøstøl from the real estate company Merkantilbygg. The latter has headed the interior decoration for several homes of the Frogner House empire. But this time, they've come together to play with colors, shapes, and materials. The apartments are consistent, distinct, and timeless–with interiors that inspire. – This has been an exciting project where we've wanted to preserve the historical, esteemed Norum, while at the same time it was important to us that we create something new and hip, Camilla Gjøstøl explains.
