This extended celebration allows us to delve deeper into the remarkable accomplishments of our learners, giving them the recognition and appreciation they truly deserve. No passado, o Festival de Aprendizagem era celebrado em um único dia, encapsulando a essência das conquistas de nossos estudantes. Desde o ano passado, 2022, adotamos um formato diferente, expandindo o Festival de Aprendizagem para uma semana inteira. About the learning journey | Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem Toddlers 1 learners were invited to get involved with the animals from the book "Brown Bear, brown bear what do you see?". The book is an essential tool for learners to reconnect to the learning space, educators, and classmates. The narrative shows animals of different colors, we investigated with the learners the other colors we observed in our surroundings, making connections between them and the elements of nature. This project was relevant for learners to help them in this process of understanding the world around them. In addition, they practiced the habit of the mind Creating, Imagining, and Innovating by participating in hands-on experiences that drove their learning. Throughout, learners developed design skills that helped them reflect on such as how to maintain good health, which is connected to UN Goal 15, Life and land. Os estudantes do Toddlers 1 foram convidados a se envolver com os animais do livro "Brown bear brown bear what do you see? ", uma ferramenta essencial para se conectar com o espaço de aprendizagem, educadores e colegas. A narrativa envolve animais de diversas cores. Investigamos com eles as cores que percebemos em nosso entorno, fazendo conexões entre elas e os elementos da natureza. Além disso, eles praticaram o hábito da mente criando, imaginando, inovando, participando de experiências que os conduziram ao aprendizado. The presentation will be held in the orchard on our campus, where we have a lot of green space connecting learners and families to nature. We will have a music circle with music educator Arno in which we will sing and tell the book "Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?" with the learners' participation. After this first moment, we will propose with learners and families relating the animals in the book to the colors we have in our surroundings. About the learning journey | Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem This next project emphasized Toddlers 2A learners' process of growth and achievement and its significance in this age. Children were invited to reflect on their perception of growth, and what contributed to it, involving topics such as care and nutrition. The proposals and inviting environment also helped learners understand the growth of animals and plants and their development cycles, comparing them with their own. After reflecting on the growth process, we led the group to notice similarities and differences between them, observing physical characteristics and recognizing their emotions, thus seeking to provide a holistic development of their skills. To support us on this journey, we worked on the habit of mind gathering data through all senses, encouraging children to observe the world around them and understand the importance of senses for their development. The collaboration pillar was also encouraged, as group work helped children develop social and problem-solving skills. Finally, we connected the theme of growth and identity with the UN Global Goal of Health and well-being, introducing children to healthy habits for caring for their bodies and minds to continue developing their full potential.

As crianças foram convidadas a refletir sobre sua percepção de crescimento e o que contribui para isso, abordando temas como cuidado e nutrição. As propostas e o ambiente convidativo também ajudaram os aprendizes a compreenderem o crescimento de animais e plantas, assim como seus ciclos de desenvolvimento, comparando-os com os seus próprios. Após refletirem sobre o processo de crescimento, conduzimos o grupo a perceber semelhanças e diferenças entre eles, observando características físicas e reconhecendo suas emoções, buscando assim proporcionar um desenvolvimento holístico de suas habilidades. Para nos apoiar nessa jornada, trabalhamos no hábito de coletar dados por meio de todos os sentidos, incentivando as crianças a observarem o mundo ao seu redor e compreenderem a importância dos sentidos para o seu desenvolvimento. O pilar da colaboração também foi incentivado, pois o trabalho em grupo ajudou as crianças a desenvolverem habilidades sociais e de resolução de problemas. The children will bake cookies, which they will donate to a charity that helps people in situations of vulnerability. Kinder B learners' curiosities led us to the project “Why Might Bees Matter to our environment?”. Through the project and in the context of the UN Goal 15 "Life on Land," our young scientists will understand the importance of bees to all ecosystems and our food supply and will be empowered by showing them some activities that can work toward solving the world's declining bee populations while practicing the habit of mind "Thinking About Your Thinking". They are learning about the lifestyles in both these places and also how they are connected to each other such as how food reaches our supermarkets from farms. Continuing from our previous project, we are also extending our knowledge about our planet’s natural resources and how we can take care of our environment. In particular, we are focusing on the importance of water and how it is treated and arrives at our homes. Students unpacked the characteristics that make up the 5 regions of the country and did research on the cultural influences on these regions. The main learning goal was EF04GE01: Select, in their places of experience and in their family and/or community histories, elements from different cultures (indigenous, Afro-Brazilian, from other regions of the country, Latin American, European, Asian, etc.), valuing what is characteristic of each of them and their contribution to the formation of local, regional and Brazilian culture. About the learning journey | Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem This project focused on Cultural Heritage. Learners unpacked the concepts of material and immaterial heritage and identified and discussed it on different levels. They did and shared research on their families’ cultural heritage, found out more about their city and state’s cultural heritage on a field trip to Cachoeira-BA and found out about other countries’ heritage as well. This project’s main learning goal was EF05HI10: Inventory the material and intangible heritage of humanity and analyze the changes and permanence of these heritage over time.

Our focus is to explore how Brazil's diversity has been influenced by the different peoples around the country. Throughout the project, our class will embark on a fascinating exploration of Brazil's colonial history and the significant impact of enslaved African peoples on Brazil's cultural landscape, including their contributions to music, dance, and cuisine. To fully grasp the complexities of Brazil's diversity, we will dive into the diverse immigrant peoples and cultures that have settled in the country over the centuries, and we will uncover how these diverse groups have added their unique customs and traditions to Brazil's cultural history. By the end of the project, we will have a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and political dynamics that have influenced the inclusion of various groups within Brazilian society. Thus, based on discussions and questions regarding the educational process, supported by Global Goal 4, Quality Education, and the content taught throughout this semester, Grade 10 learners intent to explore how educational methodology can support their choices and, thus, contribute to their future. Educação é uma prática social que visa ao desenvolvimento do ser humano, de suas potencialidades, habilidades e competências. Alguns estudos acreditam, inclusive, que o sucesso na carreira escolhida está atrelada à metodologia de ensino adequada aos objetivos e necessidades dos estudantes. About the learning journey Sobre a jornada de aprendizagem After two hundred years of independence, the future seems very close. However, stating that Brazil is the country of the future makes us understand that such a dream was lost at some historical moment. The timeline that marks all of Brazilian history is very tenuous and also representative to today's young people. Therefore, the G11 learners, based on questions and discussions about Brazil over the years, thought of a project that would bring relevance to themselves. After all, by knowing our history, we come to understand our future. Supported by Global Goal 8, Decent work and economic growth, and by the content that is so important for the path they intend to take, personally and professionally, in Physics, Mathematics, Portuguese, English, among others, we seek the third centenary understanding that we must not be content only with the future, but we must transform our present.
Após duzentos anos de independência, o futuro parece muito próximo. No entanto, afirmar que o Brasil é o país do futuro nos faz entender que esse sonho foi perdido em algum momento histórico. A linha do tempo que marca toda a história brasileira é muito tênue e também representativa para os jovens de hoje. Portanto, os aprendizes do 11º ano, com base em perguntas e discussões sobre o Brasil ao longo dos anos, idealizaram um projeto que traria relevância para eles mesmos.
