OVERVIEW OF GRADE LEVELS

We are a Toddlers to Grade 12 school that serves four distinct divisions. Each division in our school has unique characteristics that range from learning engines to specific programs to bring excellence in academic rigor and innovation. We call it learning engines.

WE ARE EXPLORERS EARLY YEARS

In the Early Years program, children from Toddlers 1 to Kinder (ages 1 to 6) are true explorers. This stage is deeply rooted in investigative thinking and tinkering, where every day is a journey of inquiry. Learners engage with various stations that fuel their curiosity and encourage intentional play. Educators, predominantly communicating in English, focus on active listening to channel the learners' inquisitiveness into engaging and challenging activities. It's a world where multi-sensory experiences, deep connections with nature, and a personalized learning approach are documented and celebrated as part of the educational journey.

learning E N G I N E S

LOWER SCHOOL

WE ARE RESEARCHERS

Lower School, from Grades 1 to 5, is when children become researchers. The project delivery is inspired by Phenomenon-Based Learning, which encourages learners to delve into the wonders of the world around them. This approach fosters a deep sense of curiosity and the skills to seek answers, promoting a hands-on and minds-on learning experience that prepares young minds for the complex questions of tomorrow.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

WE ARE DESIGNERS

learning E N G I N E S

Middle School learners from Grades 6 to 8 are designers who employ Design Thinking in their learning process. At this stage, education is beyond the processing and understanding of information—it's about applying creative problem-solving skills to real-world challenges. Learners are taught to think critically and work collaboratively to design solutions, preparing them to make a meaningful impact on their world. The approach to learning includes Challenge Based Learning as the basis for the project development.

learning

WE ARE GLOBAL CITIZENS HIGH SCHOOL

High School at Escola Concept, from Grades 9 to 12, is dedicated to shaping innovative global citizens. The program is driven by Human-Centered Design, where learners are inspired to develop solutions that meet human needs. As global citizens, they are equipped with the mindset and tools to approach problems with empathy and to devise innovative strategies that have the potential to create positive change in the global community. The emphasis on innovation and human-centric solutions prepares learners to lead with compassion and ingenuity in a rapidly evolving world. The approach to learning includes Challenge Based Learning as the basis for the project development.

SAFETY FIRST securely NAVIGATING CAMPUS

NAVIGATING CAMPUS SECURELY

As part of our commitment to campus security and the efficiency of arrival and dismissal procedures, we utilize facial recognition technology to ensure a safe and seamless experience for all families.

At every school gate, whether for pedestrians or vehicles, facial recognition totems are in place to verify and authorize campus access.

For dismissal, we use a system that notifies educators when a guardian arrives on campus, ensuring that each child is released to the designated guardian. This system also maintains records of the time, location, and individual with whom the child left the campus.

To further ensure the safety of our entire community, our security team conducts regular patrols inside the school. Armed security personnel are stationed around the perimeter of the campus, while unarmed security staff are positioned strategically inside the school. Additionally, a security support vehicle is available on campus to respond to emergencies.

E N V I R O N M E N T

FACIAL RECOGNITION

It is IMPORTANT to note that learners are prohibited from leaving school unaccompanied by a responsible adult.*

No child is allowed to leave school with anyone other than his/her guardian and/or authorized adults.

Students from Middle School (MS) and High School (HS) are permitted to leave the school if prior authorization has been granted by their families through an Authorization Form. However, they are not allowed to pick up their siblings from Early Years/Lower School during this time.

In exceptional cases, a temporary authorization can be sent by email to a Family Services member at least 2 hours prior to dismissal time.

Any changes in a student's health condition should be promptly communicated to the school.

EXCEPTIONS

Seniors have the privilege of using their personal devices for academic purposes during regular time, inside the class, and also during break, independent learning times, etc.

LOST AND FOUND: WHAT TO DO?

At Escola Concept the Lost and Found is a platform that operates like an online shop, enabling you to view all lost items from the comfort of your home. Families are kindly requested to check the platform regularly during the academic semester to reclaim any lost possessions.

We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines, contributing to the efficient functioning of our Lost and Found system. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our Family Services team.

Guidelines

for Retrieval:

Timeframe for Retrieval: Families are required to recover lost items within the academic semester to ensure a timely and organized process. After the end of the academic semester the item will be donated to an NGO (every July and December items will be donated);

Selection Process: Families may select their desired items through the online platform, bearing in mind that some items may already be chosen by others.

L O S T I T E M S

recover

Unavailable Items: If you find an item that is unavailable at the platform this means that the item has already been requested by another family, we understand that multiple learners have similar items, therefore mistakes might happen. If you have any item that is unavailable please let the Family Services team know, so if the family that has requested the item returns it, we can send you the item to check if it belongs to your child.

Request Submission: Upon selecting an item, families can submit a request through the platform to initiate the retrieval process.

Delivery Options: Families can choose between two convenient options:

In-Class Delivery: The selected item will be delivered to your child in class, ready to be taken home in their backpack.

On-Site Pickup: Families can opt to collect the item at school with the assistance of our dedicated Family Services team members.

L O S T I T E M S

Delivery Timeline: All selected items will be delivered within 3 days of the request submission.

Unidentified Items: We understand that not all lost items will be found at school, for that reason we would like to reinforce that Escola Concept is not responsible for any lost, stolen and/or damaged belongings. Learners’ personal property is solely their responsibility. Learners should avoid leaving personal belongings unattended and take reasonable precautions to protect their personal property.

birthday CELEBRATION

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Birthday celebrations are very important for our community, however, there are a few premises we have to follow to ensure a “ we before me” mindset, while still honoring the celebration of such an important moment in your child’s life.

The academic development of our learners is at the core of our planning and delivery, therefore when planning your child’s birthday celebration please consider the following premises and guidelines:

On campus birthday celebration:

Purpose: Celebrating your child’s birthday with the class community & friends;

You are welcome to bring a cake for the educators and learners in the class to sing happy birthday;

Party decorations, souvenirs, balloons and other such items will not be accepted;

P O L I C I E S

Birthday cakes are preferably individually portioned to facilitate logistics, time, and serving.

Check with the family services team on food allergies and restrictions to ensure that all members of the class can be included.

After school birthday celebrations: We will most definitely help you celebrate your child’s birthday after school. Your child’s party, while important, may not interfere with class time. Therefore birthday parties must respect the official dismissal time of your child and his/her classmates.

birthday P O L I C I E S

For the safety and security of all members of our community, birthday vans leaving from the school are only allowed to depart at 3:50 PM This premise allows for everyone’s learning to take place during school hours, while anticipating the incredible celebration that will happen after school.

Planning accordingly and embracing a community mindset, will benefit everyone involved. We count on you for your ongoing partnership and understanding.
