In this issue, I share my the year’s first “quickie” photo-ride with some of my photography friends, Bon Barro and Karlo Flores, at downtown Davao City.
I thought of creating a colored issue to start the first month of the year with 27 past photos from the last five years. Images were made using different cameras I categorized, sequenced into a coherent series with three photo vignettes. It allowed me to practice self-curating and to see them again with fresh eyes.
Color, as you may know, is quite subjective. Its perception is dependent of individual experiences. It can be agreed, however, that colors DO affect our psychology. It is my hope that when grouped together as a set, you will appreciate the images expressions. I used basic primary and secondary colors to keep it simple.
Lastly, I share with you a color exercise with photos from a starting photographer from La Union whom I shared the exercise during one of our coaching sessions.
Thank you for your appreciation and stay safe!
