Davao City has been among the participating cities from around the globe in the 24HourProject since 2016. It was gaining more attendance in the editions that followed. Over the past five years, only three completed the challenge.
Tagged as #PulawPaMore (derived from “Burning the midnight oil,” a western idiom or staying up late to work or, in this case, documenting humanity) served as an appropriate moniker for the Davao leg.
Over the years, there was a need to organize the Davao photographers to encourage their active participation informally. And what better way to engage delightful “cameraderie” than with local or worldwide meaningful photography events such as the 24HourProject.
Being the 5th year of Davao City’s involvement, this editor thought it would be great to have a virtual photography magazine of the #24hr21_Davao leg. Curated and sequenced to animate the city’s photographers by having a keepsake.
