We want to support them to see a vibrant Main Street.� Participating businesses will also offer in-store holiday specials and bargains. “There are more businesses in downtown than people realize. This is nice way to highlight them,� Alexander said. While children will not be able to visit with Santa in person due to COVID-19, they will be able to drop off letters to Santa in special mailboxes that will be located at Rocco & Anna’s Ristorante Italiano, 302 Main St., Parkesburg, and The Lit-

She added that many of the Lions Club’s events were canceled this year, including its annual Halloween parade, so the club is grateful to be able to present the decorating contest this year. The Lions Club, a community service organization, is currently seeking new members.
